Don't you think Mylot admin inform us before deleting our posts?

I read discussions that there were posts got deleted not just one but numerous. I do experience that during my first month here and until now I wonder why it is being deleted. the topic is about music and i don't think i violated the TOS here. It is but a good gesture that the admin should inform us first if we violated something before burning our post. It would make us aware of what we did if any, and at the same time we can defend our precious posts. Deleting of posts chased away members here knowing the stiff competition with other social networking sites nowadays. we can alway leave and join other sites if this practice goes on. This is just my opinion being the "customer" and we know that the customer is always right. This post might get deleted too so take extra care if you think your ranking or reputation might get affected.

Well.. i do lost mine once and don't get any reply from admin. I hope this post will reach to them as i found it constructive and objective. If they do inform us before deleting our post, they don't just give us justice, they also give us the opportunity to defend it and will at least feel the respect we deserve. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Speaking about other places, JulieFaye & I also are on another site. You can join under her at: http://r.yuwie.com/juliefaye After you sign up, just go through her friends list, & look for Intelligent Idiot - I'm that big laughing smiley somewhere buried in her friends list.

There are indeed some deletions that we don't know why it was deleted, what caused it, for somehow we lost track of that particular discussion or we are not aware of mylot's guidelines. I suggest that newcomers and those who are still not aware of this, to check the link and remember the DO's and DON'Ts on posting at this site.. Simply look at the lower part of your screen, there you'll find the Guidelines and FAQs links..

I'm not really sure about it, but that could be true as well. I remember one time, I have a post that has nothing hat I know which violated any guidelines but was deleted. I asked the admin about it, but never received any answer. It only happened to me maybe once or twice, I guess it just depends..

what about if we don't violate any of that don'ts? they have to let us know before burning it, right? i guess, there were trolls hanging around who are addicted to (!) that makes some posts wasted.

This seems to have been going on for a long time now. Even though some of them were against the guidelines, others had gotten deleted for what seemed like no reason at all. When inquiring to MyLot asking why, there was no reply, & it seemed that from our point of view, we were just being ignored. Furthermore, various people had been banned for no reason at all either, or even worse, just because they were victims of a troll. You & JulieFaye probably remembered that yellow smiley that I had been using as my avatar, but several of us changed our pictures in support of one such MyLot menmber.

i think still it is not possible to let us know why the post got deleted. today i lost 20 posts. all of them i guess what i responded to others' post. so is it possible for them to let me know why 20 got deleted. it happens here.

I am very new here so I don't know about this. But if it is true that the admin deletes certain posts, it would be nice to notify the poster about it and give him/her chance to appeal for that :)

Some posts got deleted because of TOS violation, but there were some like mine who did not violate anything. I hope it won't happen to you.

With certainty, it arrives to be a respect lack to erase posts without informing before.

Heloo dear: I thought I was wrong but now I did know others are concern also. Today for the very first time, I have been noticing something a bit unsusal. The first post that I put on for the day did not come up first, the one behind that came up first, If am not mistaken I may have posted about 10, bewteen dicussions and comments and am still seeing 72, that is impossible to be 72 up until now, when I check the computer this a.m I was up to 69. If something is wrong they ought to let the customers know, so that they don't second guess. I was trying to call, but I could not find a number. People would like to know when they are doing something that violate. Something may have gone wrong I have no idea. Things happen but I do enjoy being here! I am quite concern.

Ah,mylot should be published some regulations, which posts can not be issued, Or deleposts should specify the reasons for the deletion, this is a respect for the members. I support your practice!

You're right! it's more of a respect to users more than anything else.
