When using public restrooms........

I do wash my hands afterwards heavens and I have no horror stories really as if a restroom wasn't clean I would rather hold it in than use it! lol I would rather pee in the grass somewhere out of sight than use a filthy toilet - and there is the one situation I wouldn't be able to wash my hands! xxx

If I have to sit down I clean the seat if not I balance lol , I use a tissue in my hand to pull the flush , I will not use soap but carry baby wipes with me , I use the baby wipe to ope the door sometimes too , Or use them after I come out , I hate public toilets with a vengeance xxxx

I wash my hands after always! That is so nasty and yes, I use a towel or a shirt sleeve to touch the door handle. And I use anti bacterial lotion (the purell stuff) when I get back to my desk. It is so nasty and I can't stand people who don't wash their hands. Plus haven't they heard about hygiene? Our company is so small that if someone did that I definitely would go up to him and say how nasty he was, and that he needs to immediately wash his hands. Pablo

I am much more cautious when using a public facility. I first scrub the toilet seat off with soap and or disinfectant.. including the front part where any clothing might rest up against... then I dry it off... I never use the first few sheets of toilet paper that may have received some spray from the last flush... I use a square of paper to flush the toilet (thankful for the motion sensored devices out now) I ready the paper towel and then wash my hands with soap - I rip off the paper towel and dry my hands - I use the same paper towel to turn off the faucet (thankful for automated water sensors now) I then use that paper towel to open the door (much prefer swinging doors that I can open with my foot) hold the door open with my foot and toss the towel to the trash. Now completely satisfied that I have avoided all nasties I proceed to place my clean hands on the filthy shopping cart handle and proceed with my shopping!

LMAO! I see the same thing in the Men's restroom. It is probably a whole lot more common in there because usually guys are not all that hygenic. I usually grab a paper towel to open the door too, then I throw the paper towel on the floor because the trash can is usually far away from the door! If there is a trash can nearby though, I will throw it in there, but usually it's on the other side of the room.

For guys, it wun be too much of a trouble if we just wanna pee because we've got the urinals to use.. Unlike the ladies, regardless of wanna pee or poo, the toilet bowl is a must for ladies.. I heard from one of my female fren that, the 'ladies' is actually quite dirty inside, as in, the soiled pads being thrown around, ple dun bother to throw the pads into the bin provided inside the cubicle.. For us guys, we wun have a problem like that unless when u wanna poo.. Because some guys just dunno hoe to aim properly and pee anyhow, thus making the seats and surroundings all wet and smelly.. So if possible, i wun wanna poo using a public toilet.. ANd i guess it's my habit, regardless of i'm at home or outside, i will definitely wash my hands after each visit to the toilet ^_^ hehe

oh my goodness, we live among filthy people. I ALWAYS wash my hands after using a public toilet - and always open the doors and close them holding tissue paper. Looks like I am right to do that. How can you wipe your u-know-what and then not wash your hands? Filthy people///

I have seen that too, I can't believe that grown people still don't wash their hands..I wash mine whether I am home or not and if there is no way to wash, then I pull out my small bottle of hand sanitizer to wash with.. One thing I do differently when I am out is I flush with my foot..My home I know what is on the handle and that it gets cleaned very well, when I am out, I have no idea if the handle even gets clean..

i work in a industry that washing hands is second nature to us,so yes i always wash my hands.i try not to use public loos if possible for the very reasons you stated,other peoples bad hygiene,the only toilets that i use besides my own would be large modern shopping centres that are usually clean and have modern fittings.cheers sue

Always. Anyone who doesn't is some sick freak walking around with germs on their hands. Or just plain stupid.

i always wash my hands whenever i use the toilet because i know that toilet was for public and it's dirty lol

i refuse to use public bathrooms. i have heard stories about them and i will not use them. Because i dont know when they were cleaned, and at home i know how clean my bathroom is and how sanitary it is.

well yes i do wash my hands every time im not the kind of guy that wipes my butt and then goes and makes a sandwich lol soyes i do wash my hands everytime i would feel discusting if i didnt i was my hands more then that though i was them though out the day

yes washing your hands gets rid of alot of germs. i really dont like to use a public restroom because you never know if anyone who has used it before you has a problem i dont wanna catch anything i value my life you never know

I always wash my hands after using the restrooms. I also wash my hands at home too. Its a good habit to get into because there are so many germs out there and it prevents you from getting sick. Stay healthy!

It is amazing how many people I see do that, just walk out without washing, and it is the ones following behind that then get the nasty bugs!! I always wash my hands, I mean these public toilets have plenty of soap and sinks in them, so there is no excuse for anyone not to wash their hands really!
