Why always people say the word "Sorry" without knowing the meaneing of it?

People say sorry after they commit some mistake. But they don't know the meaneing of it. They repeat it again and again. The one who have done really a mistake must not repeat it. Then only there is a meaneing for the word sorry. Otherwise it's a word in english dictionary having 4 letters. Do you agree with me.

You're right. Many people tend to say sorry but keep on committing the same mistakes. I for one admit that I sometimes make the same mistake, though inadvertently, keeps on saying sorry. I may know the meaning of sorry and of being sorry, but I'm just human who commits mistake.

Yes you're actually right, but saying oh i've made a mistake and won't repeat it is a bit of a mouthful I guess. It's one thing to say sorry but another to actually mean it - It's just too easy I guess!
