I work at a fire/ems station and you would not believe the calls that tie up our 911 line. Do you want to switch your insurance? Do you wish to become part of a time share in your area? Stupid stuff as this but the kicker is it is all automated and 911 dispatcher which where I work happens to be Georgia State Patrol Office, and they can not get a human on the line. There should be some kind of guidelines for companies that use automated calling systems not to call Emergency numbers. What is your feeling on telemarketers?

I personally dont have much use for them, (no offence intended if this is your line of work). I am of the opinion that if I wish to purchase something I will make a call or go to the place of business to initiate the transaction. There really should be some law and penalty against them tying up emergency lines such as the 911 lines.

I think there should be some kind of law against this. Telemarketers should know who they are dialing, or who the computer is dialing for them. Not an EMS or 911 operation.
