I was not spoiled in life - I was raised my grandmother starting from age 9 and she imparted a lot of her great ethics and morals into me. She always said a job was a privilege and taught the importance of being a good steward. Those followed me to today and I'm now imparting that advise onto my kids!

I know I was not spoiled because my parents, and grandmother, who lived with us, did not want disorderly kids. They were never mean, just fair but tough, and loved.
I can tell you, that being a teacher for close to forty years and seeing spoiled kids grow to adults, it DOES affect the adult.
They are the ones who don't think rules apply to them, whine a lot, are not hard workers, expect the world to do things their way, etc.
Is there an age that it's too old to spank someone?
