A few years ago a close friend passed over, he was such a torchered soul and was never very happy. It just made me think "oh, well there isn't a happy ever after is there?" Since then I've tried to be happy most days and count the blessing that I have, which is quite a few if you actually write them down. It just made me think how many of you out there are actually looking for that "happy ever after" or do you believe you are actually living it now? Would love to hear your views..

No I don't believe there is "Happy ever after". Actually I think a person has to work hard on getting happiness in their lives, doing what they want to do in life and so on and so forth. I don't think a person could just be happy if he/ she doesn't work on his/ her attitudes about life. Right now, I have got a lot of issues in my life that I don't know how to deal with, but I still remind myself to stay happy most of the time.

I do hope that times get happier for you, my friend sent me a lovely email to me today.. which i've copied below..
This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror, you should read it every day. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be
just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone even if they don't like
you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude
remarks.
12. Always remember....when life hands you Lemons, ask for Tequila and Salt
and call me over!
Good friends are like stars.......
You don't always see them, but you know they are always there.
I would rather have one rose and a kind word from a friend while I'm here
than a whole truck load when I'm gone.
See how many 'bouquets' you end up with!
Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keep You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only faith in yourself keeps You Going.

Thank you for sharing these inspiring thoughts. I believe that happiness is something you have to pursue in life. You won't be happy if you'll keep on dwelling from the bad things that had happened in your life. I used to ask reasons why I was living miserably till I met my present boyfriend. He made me realise that one way to solve the problem is to stay happy and in focus and of course with prayers. Before I met him I was abandoned by the father of my child and everyone around me thought how stupid I am and that my life and future was wasted. But I know they were wrong, cause from that mistake my baby was born and she's loveliest thing for me. And my future didn't end there because now I'm a mother and a complete woman. And I'm glad I did not give up.

It's nice to know I've inspired you, my friend. If only I could inspire all, just when needed.
I remember you mentioning this, after reading through my poems, Biz. Yes, I'm sure you can count many blessings in your life, including your lovely daughter. It's so easy to forget all the good things, when you're at a low. I'm not sure there's a "happy ever after" but it's a good thing to seek.
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend, and thank you. xxx

I'd like to think that I was in the middle of that scenario at the present moment but I can't say for sure just yet. It's still in that love haze stage so I have to wait for that to burn off and see if it lasts ... as far as life in general .. it could always be better but baby, it could always be worse!

Well...what I'm looking for is kinda hard to explain.
I do believe that we all get our own little piece of heaven after enduring alot of crap from life and striving to work our hardest...but I don't define that as happily ever after per se, I know there will always be drama, hardship, and pains in life no matter where you're at.
But I always thought that once you got that piece of heaven, that one thing so precious to you that everything else is manageable and worth it...that none of that all really mattered.
I don't really believe in happily ever afters lol. I do believe that it is possible to live fairy tales...if that makes any sense.
A part of me IS looking for my little piece of heaven...another part of me thinks I lost it years ago.
But the rest of me prefer a stance of defiance to both counts lol, and I just live every day to the fullest, to the best of my ability.

That's a good way to look at it. I suppose we have to be thankful of 'happy' days and get try to get through the bad days with a smile on our faces! Thanks for responding!

you can have a happy ever after if you trust in god and he would indeed pull you through

I'm glad you have your faith and that makes you happy. I'd prefer to trust in myself however. Thanks for your response.
