What is so hard to understand?

When I say "don't run your cars over the hard floor, go in your room" they do...for a while. Then they are back to running their cars all over the hard floor making all kinds of racket again. Talk about short-term memory loss!!!

I can symphatize with you as I deal with it everyday. I think most of the time, they just want attention. All I do is keep on reminding my toddler and tell her, if something happens and you get hurt, don't come squelling because Mommy already told you not to do it. Sometimes, I would just clear my throat and she knows what I mean and stop what she is doing.

They know exactly what they are doing, don't kid yourself.
Kids like to test the limits of their parents EVERYDAY of their lives...
You just have to take a deeeeeeeep breath and say... I love you very much, but you are testing your limits, and I will not tolerate it any longer. Then explain some consequences to what might happen if their behavior continues.
Always reinforce your love for them though....
