which of the two statements will you choose?

Hello checapricorn, I think I prefer the second statement. If he loves me because he really, really needs me ... I will be the happiest person in life. That shows that he is really sincere and honest towards me. My husband doesn't like to show his feelings openly but being his wife, I understand him. As long as I know that he loves me and I do love him, that's just wonderful enough.

Definately the second. I can't imagine it is really love if you love someone because you need them. I would be upset if my husband said the first to me.

I too will choose the second statement "I need you because I love you". This statement symbolises that you love your partner not for anything but for the feeling towards that person.

"I love you" is not something which I say easily because I take it very seriously. I do not like needy girls and I do not consider being needy as a positive trait. I do not like to say I need you to anyone. I might say I love you and when I do that I am sure to mean it.

I would Just say "i Love u" as its complete sentence and If u love some one then other things are not important

hello checapricorn, this is one easy question LOL my choice is like yours and i guess the most - "i need you because i love you" i think the sentence already express how i feel and how my hubby feel. it always makes me teary eyes whenever he says i am his everything and that he needs me to live., i think though we have been in a almost 5 years relationship we already have been through a lot and i know that he have given so much for me and i am grateful for all that he is to me. anyway to answer your other question, I LOVE EVERYTHING my hubby says to me, sometimes he says it in a silent way too and it sure makes a different level of love and romance as well. i think the fact that i love everything about my husband makes me love the best and the worst in him and though he can say the dumbest thing sometimes, i still love the kid in him coz that makes him the man he is now. the man i love and the man i want to spend the rest of my life with. takecare and keep the love alive.

The first statement sounds no love to me. If my partner says "I love you bcos I need you", I would think that he's after me for something. There must be a purpose behind. I would much prefer the second one :)

"I need you because I love you" Because these phrase would mean that he wants you in his life truly and looking forward to spend the rest of your life with him. That is what I want to hear from my man. For better or worst, he would still need me because he still loves me. Cheers!

I would choose the second statement as well. "I love you becasuse I need you" seems more like you are in the relationship out o dependancy on another person, regardless of who it is, you just happen to love them. "I need you because I love you" means(at least to me) that you want and need them around to share things with, to show affection to, and to enjoy time with them. I would prefer to hear the second statement as well. The first one is accurate in some ways, for instance he can't make grilled cheese without alerting the local fire department. The second statement is also accurate though, Im not sure what I would be doing if he were not in my life. Something retarded and not professional, im sure.

i love the second one for all obvious reasons. the person needs me because he loves me. for his love for me, he thinks he can't stay without me. its nice.

I agree with you I would also choose the second statement "I need you because I love you". Love is felt within and need is rather a by product of love.

I prefer "I need you because I love you". That's love while "I love you because I need you" is not in my opinion. If one day I do not have that something you need, you won't love me anymore. I have to worry about that something always? No way. Thus, I would like to hear my partner say to me "I need you because I love you".

I think they are both good saying and I hope you and your husband are together for a long time,I would prefer to say and hear I need you because I love you because I love my fiance and I have loved her since I met and her,and if I didnt have her I wouldnt have anything and my life would be meaningless.

I would choose "I need you because I love you" because it shows that the person whom I love is needed and the reason is that I love that person...
