how big is your family?

i come from a very big family. not my immediate family-there's only my parents and my 2 sisters (of course there's now my 2 brothers-in-law, 2 nephews and 1 niece) but the extended family. my dad has 13 siblings (7 brothers and 6 sisters) and my mom has 16 siblings (6 brothers and 10 sisters) and that translates to lots and lots of cousins! there's about 100-give or take one or two. and those cousins are mostly married with kids of their own-so it just keeps growing and growing! i love it! i couldn't imagine not having that much family. most of my friends come from pretty small families-with only a couple of cousins. just wondering how it is for other people out there-and what you think of it?

I also have quite a big family. It's hard to remember when everyone's birthday is and sometime's people get left out.
Here's my family from only my mom's side......
my mom
2 sister's and 1 brother
3 blood uncle's and 2 blood aunty
1 nan and no grandad's
11 cousin's
6 nephew's and neices with 1 on the way..total 26 people and 1 more on the way... Then you have to get in to my dad's side of the family, my partner's side and my aunt's/uncle's/cousin's through marrige and the extended family get's even bigger.

I come from a family of ten. Five boys and five sisters. You know when a person thinks of a large family they think people in the family are close. My family has never been close. I don't know if it is because my Mom raised each and every one of us to be independent and independent we are. I know where my sisters are but not where but one of my brothers are. We don't correspond are keep in touch with each other. Another strange thing is that my Dad was pure Italian and I have always thought of Italians as a close nit family. I love my siblings but we are not close at all.

I guess you could say I have a big family, I have 3 sisters, one brother, counting me there are 5 of us. They all have kids, I have 6 nephews, one step-niece and one on the way. So when we get together for dinner its a full house...lol Not to mention my extended family, I have lots of uncles and aunts and cousins all around me. I think its fun being from a big family, you will always have someone to talk to or hang out with.
