I have travelled out of the state I live in (NSW, Australia), a number of times in my life, although still not as often as I would like, as I love to travel and experience new and exciting things.
So far, I have only been to the states on the Eastern side of Australia (New South Wales, Queensland, Canberra/Australian Capital Territory, Victoria and Tasmania).
The furthest away that I have travelled was in 2006, when I flew to Austria (23 hours) for 11 days.
=)

I have traveled a long way from my homeland and the country that is the farthest away was New Zealand and yet is felt quite homely to me. I have also been to Australia, Fiji, the Cook Islands and Samoa. I really enjoyed walking along the superb tracks in New Zealand. The landscape there was really stunning, forest, lakes mountains, beaches and glaciers. I saw dolphins and penguins there. I loved seeing the unique wildlife of Australia, koalas, kangaroos, cockatoos and possums. I really loved seeing the beaches on the tropical islands. I did much snorkeling and saw sting rays and small sharks.

The farthest I've ever gone was the Bahamas, particularly Freeport, Paradise Island, and Nassau. Unfortunately this wasn't a vacation, I was there for work, but got to stay on the islands a total of three months. It was beautiful and the "natives" were very welcoming. I got the opportunity to witness their Junkanoo(sp?)very interesting!!!!!

I'm not going anywhere that requires getting shots.Iwent to another state to get married because they did'nt require a blood test. I loved Texas, but if i ever get mt dream vaction it will be to Alaska during their six months of nighttime. Other than that i would love to see Montana and other states in the west.
