stay home moms

my mom was a stay at home mom and i am one now also. i think it makes the kids feel secure when mom or even dad is home after school. my mom was always there when all 11 of us got home after school and every friday she was atthe kitchen table with a batch of warm choco chip cookies. my little one isnt in school yet but i know that she is being taken care of and is getting everything she needs because i am home with her.

I have always stayed home with my kids and i still do. Teens need you even more, I think this is a big problem today. To many kids have no parenting and run wild. I have worked stay at home jobs and part time jobs to help out. Kids are more important to me than material stuff,You only get one chance to raise your children!

i think for the first years of their lives their mother should be there...and for the first couple of years of school she should see them off and be there when they return.It also however depends how much money is coming into the family. I'd try to spend as much time with my children in the first years as possible.

I think it's great if a parent can stay home with their child, if at all possible. I do think it does depend on the financial situation though. Not everyone can do it, but if they can I think the consistancy of having a parent at home for the children benefits them in the long run. Not only does the parent know how the child is being taken care of, but the child knows they will have the parent to depend on.

I believe that moms or dads if they can should stay home with their kids. Too many kids now adays are coming home to an empty house and that can lead to all kinds of problems. Back in the day when you got home from school mom was there for you.

I think it all depends on the money situation. For me and my husband it is better on us that I stay home than work. That is only because it would cost us more money on gas if I did work. Day care would also take up all of my pay checks. Therefore, I don't mind staying home just because I get to see my daughter do all of her firsts. If you have the money to stay home, then that is great. Not all people can afford to have one parent home and one work. My in-laws had to both work when my husband was growning up. I know there are alot of parents who wish they could be there when their kids came home and when they left for school, but with the economy and gas prices and the way jobs are paying these days, no one can afford to do this. I also feel that no one should say well you are wrong for working when you could be home or you should be working and use those rights that we have. I don't understand why alot of people don't condone women working. Some people just have to work. I know someone who works even though she doesnt have to, but that is her choice. Yes, I think she should stay home. Her husband makes just as much as she does, but she loves to work. I don't know, but this is just my opinion.

i am so greatful i'm a SAHM, because i love bonding with my baby, and i want to play a big role in his developmental learning.

I think it's great!!! I did it for 5 years then financially it got difficult so I had to find a job. But I did get to be with both of my kids as babies. Daycare is too expensive with little babies.
