do women really talk more than men?

I think that women generally talk more than men. I think they have more to talk about, because women are more willing to share things, while men keep more things to themselves. That is just a general thing and some men talk more than women. My boyfriend talks about the same as I do, I like it.

May be yes... I saw my mother talk more than my father. During i was a little girl, my mother is the one who talk more. grambling and shouting to her children. My sisters and myself talk more than their husband or my husband itself. I my self have to shout at my children. Well mothers talk much because they are caring and love their children vary much. Everything they do is for the children's good.

No, I think it is a tie. There are men who talk a lot and women who don't talk as much.

lol I talk so much more then hubby sometimes I think I'm talking to myself alot. No telling I probably am. Sometimes they don't listen to a word I am saying no matter what tone of voice I use. I'm not one of those people who love to hear themselves talk though.

oh i dont agree with that! lol i have lots of guy friend who talks a lot! and they usually end up being the noisiest than us girls

I know that in my house I am doing all the talking and my Hubby sits and pretends to listen. He has selective hearing like my 6 year old so maybe when he grows up it will be different.

I know I talk more than my husband ever does unless it's about his work.

In general, yes women talk more than men. But of course, there are exceptions although it's rare.

Talking is fine. Shouting is not. I prefer to talk and as long as the talk is civil and polite I can tolerate it for as long as there is enough to talk about. Do women talk more? I think so.

Man has 5,000 words daily, woman talks 3 times of man's. This is a bias metaphor. Nature has its own reason explaining of why a woman needs to talk more than a man. That's how Eve in works, talking it out to make her feels better. A man who's talking too much would be the most scarier creature to me. He (even hard to be called "he") thinks he'll need to share his emotional rather than a woman does. Many, but not all, women felt overwhelmed quicker for this type. This is because, he becomes the "Eve", the woman must play the role "Adam" for balancing his "Eve" emotional. When you're against nature, the cost is expensive for both sides.

I know for sure that women nag far more than men do but I am not so sure about I can categorically say that they talk more as well. It may seen that way because the mother will have to speak to the child more often while the daddy speaks just once or twice and is heard. I really cant say but I would not a general statement on the matter. (lol)

i think it depends on the person. there are many big mouth men as well. but for some reason, after giving birth, women tend to act like shrews. they cant shut their mouth up, especially if they give birth to girls. i think it is just the chemical imbalance in their brains.

you know what to be honest we as women do talk to damn much. certain things we should keep to ourselves we should feel the need to always spread our business or someone else's.

Ouch sorry you hear women talk like that but yes yes yes we talk way more than men. Our vocabulary from birth is bigger. We communicate bater than men. We say everything on our mind. We live breath and talk... thats just the way it is.

i think in general, yes. women talk as they think. when they're thinking, they will talk about all things that come in their mind. men usually only start talking if they have made a decision. well, that is only in general, just my opinion.
