It was Mariah Carey's songs at American Idol last two weeks ago, I think. And I was really in love on how David Cook sang Always Be my Baby.It was really a nice version of him and you can even cry how he did it.so heartwarming. You can even feel the emotions.
How about you guys what do you think?

I would be honest to say that I love the David Cook version. It is because i saw or may heard something special when he sang that song. Something that only a few singers can do to their songs. I also noticed that he really is, connected with the song and He's doing it all the best that he can. Without Overdoing it.

I usually go for the original but surprisingly, I like David Cook's version.
His husky voice is really sexy and being a girl, I would definitely want a sexy voice like his to sing me that song.

David Cook's version of 'Always Be My Baby' is a way much better than Mariah Carey. No offense meant but that's what I think. Of course, Mariah Carey owns the original version and it's because of her song that David Cook made a very good arrangement and interpretation of that song and made justice to the song of Mariah. I have to say that I didn't appreciate the song before, but it made me like the song when I heard David Cook's version. It was great and the melody rocks!

I almost always prefer a male singing voice over a female...this was no exception. I love his voice, I loved how he did that song. It is in my itunes cart right now- we are just waiting for this weeks songs to be uploaded before we place our order.

the same with you, the first time I heard his version, I really loved it. It was really cool and he sung it very well. Though I also like the original version, but I really like it better. He gave a unique male version, like Paula said, I really think it can be used as movie soundtrack. :D

I really love David Cook's version. It has this tune that is widely used to some movies. I also love the rock/ballad theme of the song. I hope he wins the american idol.
