Thanks for the advice! I like the movie though not that much. I like Harry Potter more. I heard there's a sequel to eragon. They say these are 3 books. Is that true?

Wow! The title is really weird. I heard another book in the series is entitled Eldest. So i thought the third book's title would also begin with the letter E. Hehe! Guess i was mistaken with my assumption.

In my years and years of experience, the books are ALWAYS better than the movies. This one, the same. I'm really looking forward to the next book of this series. I think it is to be released in September.
I've been into dragons since '91 when I first started playing the FF video games. Now I've got video games, books, collectibles, pictures, games etc concerning dragons.

um...well, i'd hav to say the book was much better than the movie...
of course, usually things are left out when making a movie based on the book, but i usually enjoy the movie...however, this time, it was particularly bad, like so much more left out, and some parts weren't even related, like the fight scene at the end of the movie. this was a bad one, and i wouldn't recommend seeing it, but if ur like me, u just hav to see it because other people could be wrong and u just might like it! lol, let me know how everything turns out!

Thanks for the response! I'll find time to read the book one of these days and see if you got it right. Some others said that the book is really better than the movie so i guess i have to believe you guys. I can't remember the fight scene though. Can you tell me all about it?

The book is always better then the movie except for Jaws and a few others. In the book they can be more descriptive and have more people to make the story more understandable. Besides a book can be carried and taken to the beach or wherever.

To the beach or to the spa. Hehe! I haven't heard of Jaws having a book. That's quite a discovery for me. Who's the author?

I read the book first and thought it was great and was excited about seeing the movie. I have to say i was more than a little disappointed in the movie. Alot of great stuff in the book was left out. I have the second book but only got about half way through it because it just wasnt as interesting to me as the first one was. I was at the bookstore the other day and saw there was a third one which made want to try reading the second one again.

Hi there inapaulineabelon!
I only watched the movie too so I don't really know. But based on my personal experience, it's always better in the books save for a couple of exceptions.

Yeah i agree with you. Same with Harry Potter. Do you know any other book which has a movie that captured very little of the wonderful features of the book?

The book is always better, inapaulineabelon,
You can imagine while reading a book, that'll give you a version which is better in all versions. Book has more descriptions and all those details will not come in the movie.
In the movie the story will get cut according to the time limit. I have seen some movies after reading the books. You can understand the story easily in a movie but the details are lost. Everything is wrapped up in three to four hours.
Books represent the whole story as the author wanted into. that natural flow will not be there in the movie. You start reading the book about which you have seen the movie. You'll understand the difference.

the book is better. plain and simple. not only was the movie chooped and mutilated but the ending left no room for the second book. plus in the movie everything appeared to be resolved, yet the third book is still due and it was suposed to be a four part story. the movie compleyley disgusted me. it was worse than finding out that they had cut ludobagman from the 4th harry potter movie.sorry that this response is late but i just saw the topic...hope you enjoy or enjoyed the second book...
