Oh yes reading is my favorite hobby. I am always buying books than I can read, but the good thing about that for me, I like switching books when I get tired. For me reading is a great gift!
Books are always on the side of my bed.
I made a promise to myself that I will not lend out my books; the reason being I have loaned out my books and they were never returned. They were books that I did n't I didnt want separated, and I was not very happy about that.
Preferably, I would rather buy a book for someone if possible than to loan them my books.
I find for one reason or other people do not like to return books.

It did at the time, especially when they were hard cover 40 - 100 dollar books, but now I don't lend, I give away or just keep for myself.

Very practical. I also read non fiction book, usually adventures, history and drama in real life. I rarely read books about crafts, frugality and decoration books which is good for you.

I love reading. I am in the process of acquiring all kinds of books that I look forward to read. I am in the process of working through two books that help with life like facing the tough things in life called Facing Your Giants. It's a wonderful book.
Like you I prefer to buy the book for someone instead of loaning my books, I never see them again.

I love reading too especially about inspirational books! I find them very enlightening in a way since there are moments really that due to hectic and stressful job, I can't control myself from feeling down, so with this, makes me widen my horizon and makes me feel so great! Now that I am jobless for the moment and can't afford to buy books, I just surf in the net any topic that will interest me, plus being here in Mylot is a great chance also to continue my hobby of reading!

I love to read, although I do not seem to get as much time to read as I used too, mind you I did not used to have four kids and now I do so that is probably why I do not get as much time to read! I have lent books out before only to never see them again, my Mum is the only one who ever returns the books that she lends off me, everyone else always keeps them, and I always just forget to ask for them back!

I can't stand it when people borrow your books and just don't return them. I lent someone one book out of a series, which they never returned, and having my series incomplete is really unsatisfying to look at.
I love reading though. I buy 3 or 4 (I have to buy, I get really overprotective of the idea that someone else has been touching my books, so I don't really like libraries) books pretty much every fortnight. My course at college takes time away from my pleasure reading because I'm forced to read certain genres of literature that are deemed more important, but it's impossible to kill my love for the subject.

it depends on the story. i enjoy reading as long i found it interesting. i believe that there are some books which is not interesting to read. however, books become interesting if the reader found it interesting coz we people have our own ideas. some of us, wants to read love story, some wants to read suspense, horror and thriller. so it really depends on the book. if the reader found it interesting then she will have the interest to read it

I love reading books, my favorites are science fiction. I rarely buy new books. I usually buy second hand books and sold them back after reading them. I also borrowed books from the library so I don't have books for loan.

Hello, Sun2Day!
Yes, I do enjoy reading. It's like learning in a pleasant way. Many books are teaching you something, behind the story that it tells. I am not the kind of person who is always reading, but I'm always reading something. Be it some kind of event on the Internet, or a book, or the newspaper, I'm always reading.
And it is sad when you lend people things and they do not return you. You must know in who can you trust or something like that, so you won't lose anymore books.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I love to read and I am such a big bookworm. I get most of my books from the library. Right now I have like five books that I got from the library that I have to read. When I get into a book it's really hard to get out of it because I get so concentrated. I know I lent some books to one of my friend before and she never returned them back. But she wasn't really my friend she was a foster that was being taken care of by my mother's friend. But I'm still a little mad about that.

Yes, I do, especially if I can find the time, setting and an interesting book to read. When I was very young, I used to love to read. I was so in love with books. If seemed as if the older I get I lost a little interest in books. But in my mind, it is something that I believe that I will always want to do. I have read a good book about 2 to 3 months ago. I enjoyed it too!

Yes, I enjoy reading books that interest me. Often times, I would drop at the bookstore to boy pocketbooks and other novels for me to read when I am not doing anything.

I can't live without reading. I uam used tobuya book every month. I like self help kind of book because they charge you up every time you read them. Besides self help I love fiction novels. My all time favourite is five point someone, Da vinci code and lot of others. Reading books gives you pleasure and knowledge at the same time.

I love to read and this is something that my Mom instilled in me. She would tell me that a book is just like a friend and will give you hours of enjoyment. She taught me and my sisters and brothers never to abuse a book. That would be like hurting a friend. I don't have books in my house but when you walk out my front door and look to the left you can see the library. The library gets used very much by me. I love talking to the librarians and I spend hours picking out the books I want to bring home and read.

Thank you much for your response. That was really nice that your mom was able to tell you all the value of reading and not to abuse books.
Hope you all do same for your kids. How fortunate are you to have the library close to your home! How great?

I like reading. Sometimes I will buy some books via the net and I will also download or buy some e-books. Reading is a good habit and I hope my son will inherit my this hobby. I am also afraid that my books won't be returned. And fortunately not many people ask me to lend the books today. Perhaps they are too busy to read. I don't like borrowing books, too. I like to own the books I like.

yes i do love reading books. when I was young I didn't like reading books but my parents at some point forced me and my sister to read books. they bought a lot of second hand books that were on sale and everything started there. my love for reading has never gone away. although i read less now, it doesn't mean that I have neglected it.

I love reading. I came by it naturally. I can remember so many in my family that are/were readers so I guess I became curious enough about their interest that it became a hobby of mine. I can have three or four books going at one time. Kind of like you said...if I get tired of one book I can switch to another one.
Do you ever find a book that you enjoyed reading so much that you were sorry that it is finished? I have had that to happen for me.
My Mom and I like trading books. When we see each other we usually have a book or two to exchange. I mostly like reading non-fiction.
Do you have any good book to suggest?
