I can't believe I actually got up out of this chair!

I have been responding to discussions all day where I stated that it was my only day off and that I was looking despairingly at my dirty house. Its been beseeching me all day to clean it, but its wails have gone unnoticed. I have been in a vegetative state and seek my solace in the walls of mylot and a cup of coffee. And then, the winds changed! Lo and behold, I got up and shampooed my carpet. Stranger occurrences have happened. I am now going to get dressed and go to the grocery store where the cries of pinched pennies echo off the tomatoes and tenderloins. Then I might even drop by the bank to see a notary public if all fares well. I did it, I actually got up from my chair. How about you? Did you leave your mylot armchair today?

Yesterday, like today, I start with a quick fix of mylot (generally about an hour) and then went off to the gym - but the bad heads made both of us want to come home pretty quickly, which we did.
A phone with my mother then breakfast - well lunch really! - and then another quick half an hour of mylot before MIL rang. Then searching for hours for a good priced ticket back to the UK - no such luck.
Then I made dinner and that was yesterday. Today I have had nearly two hours on mylot (yippeeee) and made two cups of coffee for me and two cups of tea for the man. He doesn't feel like going to the gym today so it will be a long walk along the beach, perhaps pop into the bank (yes, they are open on a Saturday here!) to pay my internet bill, make lunch. Then a walk or a swim - anything to put off having to clean the house, I'm just not in a mood to do it today but I think I will have to!
So, yep I got off mylot chair yesterday and will have to do it soon today, shame as I love being on here.
Thanks for sharing this with us KB!

Gosh, sounds like you've got a busy schedule. I wish I had a beach I could walk along. I'd sure do alot more of it. All we've got here is dust, dust, more dust and cactus. Yuck.

Poor you. Yes, we love it here, the beach does make us go for more walks than we would normally do.
Here's a photo for you of our beach. This was taken early in the morning when there were very few people about....

LOL...there must be something in the air today...you're about the fourth person here who has mentioned that they just plain don't have any real great motivation to do anything except sit on ones buns and hang out here...LOL At least you did go out today though--
I've been stuck home waiting for a delivery from UPS--STILL not here yet...I figured nope, won't go out cause of that nagging feeling the moment I left, the delivery would come...so I could have used that extra time catching up on more spring cleaning..did I? Nope...just haven't been in the mood..the only thing I did was get the mail and take the garbage out...big deal. Hehee Oh well, hope to catch up on stuff tomorrow..definitely have to grocery shop

Oh, thats right, I forgot to mention I got up and got the mail. And after all, it is about a 10' walk. How could I have forgotten to mention that? LOL. I took out the garbage yesterday, but only under duress. Maybe I'll put in on my list of things to do. Smile.

Oh, you're in fine form. Very poetic wording.
I worry about the trend of computer communicating from our comfy chairs. Aren't women worried about losing their figure from sitting all the time?
I'm only asking because I worry all the time. I try to set up breaks to go outside or at least stretch. Mylot is tempting because its like talking to your friends all day long.
Besides, who wants to go out? Everytime I go out, it costs me $100.00. I don't know why, it always works out that way.
Twenty dollars in gas. forty of fifty at the market, off to the pharmacy, add in a few chocolate bars, and boom
$100.00 less in my checking account and May has only just begun.
I do find that when I get going, I keep going. Today was a busy day. I'm a bit shy, but it was my birthday today. Normally, I don't want anyone to notice, but I'm living with my daughter-in-law and she wanted to celebrate.
So, a crummy movie that was playing on post, a fantastic pizza from Papa John's topped off with brownies and ice cream. I think I'm stuck in my mylot computer chair now!
Oh, and she got me one of those birthday cards that sing when you open them up.
And then my mom called during the National Anthem at the theatre_ and on and on the story goes.
Bye!

OMG. i am lucky that i do most of my mylotting at work. this way i don't have to get up. i don't know if i could sit here all day at home. these fools in my house are not having me doing something that didn't consist of feeding them, cleaning up behind them, or telling them how much I love them. so thank goodness i get to mylot most of the time from work

If I could mylot at work there would be big trouble, not just because I wouldn't be doing my job, but because I spend so many hours already on it from home. What do you do that you are afforded this luxury?

LOL! doesn't it feel good to be productive? i use to get stuck with mylot the whole week and have set aside so many important petty things aside only to find out that it piled up and the work seems to be unbearable.i only go into mylot if i have the time to do it because the mylot bug, once it bit you, you would not want to let go.

On occasion I have done this too and almost forgot to meet my son at the bus stop once - not good I know but I got there just in time.
Today I volunteered at the school library again for two hours, then took a walk up the road to the bank and to pamper myself. I had a quiznos sandwich then got my nails and toes done :)
As soon as I got back I spent most of my time online at another site and popped in here from time to time.

LOL And here was me thinking your only day off should be spent entirely on mylot! I have gotten out of my mylot chair today as I had to go shopping for birthday cards and presents as it is my best friends and my sis in laws birthdays on monday! I have been outside of this house twice in 2 days - that in itself is remarkable! xxx

i really love the way you write. this post here had my sides in stiches.
for me, it's similar too but of course when my hubby is at home, then i'm not even sitting in the chair in the first place.
but when he's not, then yep, it definitely is tough to lift myself up.

Since I have not been feeling too good, I actually did not spend much time in myLot yesterday. I slept a lot of the day, and then went to the Doctor to get something else for my Cold. So now I am catching up a little bit in here before I head off for the night. We will see how I feel when I wake up as to how much I do in here. Since I cannot go to work right now due to my Cold, I need to keep busy doing something.

i can really understand what you are saying... sometimes it is so hard to get up from here once you get addicted... we just want to spend the whole day here posting and responding without doing anything else... i try to be discipline with myself and i set a time of how long can i be here... after that, i will force myself up and do something... otherwise, i won't have anything done and my hubby won't like it... good on you for being able to get up from mylot and get some deeds done... take care and have a nice day...

I like this post. Ive been firmly planted since I got home from work lol. Oh how I love the internet it calls to me to. Im thiking I know I need to clean on my day off but I am wasting precious internet time..Most certainly penched pennies! I found a quarter in fron t of my mailbox and I was so happy today. How come you needed to go to the notary? Take care.

Funny thing about the notary. My son's school wants a certified copy of his birth certificate. Although, I provided them with a copy of the Record of Birth the hospital provided. Fair enough. However, I am in Arizona and he was born in California. So to order a copy I not only have to pay the required fees, but I have to send a Sworn Statement which is notarized. Seems stupid to me, because how would the Notary know that I am the actual birth mother without the Certified Birth Certificate. I understand the need for these things, but I don't understand in this circumstance how getting a notary to sign off on a Sworn Statement is proving a thing.

Well done for getting off your mylot armchair, I know how hard it is, I also have the same problem. So for that reason I do not even switch my computer on until all the chores that I want to do are done. To switch it on first thing would be to cause certain house neglecting disaster!!

I WISH I had an armchair to be doing this with. I have the most uncomfortable chair on earth. Also, I have NOT left it and I refuse to until it is time for me to have my daily 8 hour hibernation. This night it will be reduced to 5 hours due to it being 12:30AM and I refuse to leave myLot right now. I'm starting to not be able to type properly. I'm going to have to leave soon. This sucks. Very descriptive paragraph, but in my state of fatigue, I need you to use smaller words. I can only understand half......let me read your paragraph again tomorrow.

Well I hope you'll be able to read my paragraph and have a better understanding after a good night of rest. I also hope you find a more comfortable chair soon.
