Do you ever think you were born in the wrong place or at the wrong time?

Don't get me wrong I love life, although I do think I'm perhaps wasting it working away and not enjoying it as much as I should. It got me thinking that I should have been born in a different country (ok so I wouldn't be me), but I'm always cold and hate the winters here - always have. It makes me wonder whether I shouldn't have been born somewhere hotter! Do you ever feel like this?

Hi Bizziebod
I love my life now with children and grandchildren, but i did enjoy my teen years too..so if i could go back, I'd sure change a few things but I'd prefer living there in that State then the hot one i live now.

It would be awesome to go back to our teenage years wouldn't it? Obviously as a teenager and not the sensible person I've become now! I'd only like a brief stay though - I wouldn't go back to do it all again!

Noooooooo, I wouldn't swap for the World. I love being here. I love the history and mystery of this country and I just can't imagine myself anywhere else. Although, having adamantly stated that... I did live in Germany for three years, and I became quite attached to the mysteries and ancient history that it holds too. Maybe I was German in another life? My beliefs and feelings in certain circumstances indicate a link.
Oh well... I guess we'll never know for sure, but I'm enjoying this time around and I wouldn't change anything, my friend. Brightest Blessings. xxx

I am convinced i was born a couple of centuries out of time. I belong to a much more gentle age where things moved at a much slower pace. I may well have been able to keep up then. Also I feel i should have been born to money. I am sure outthere somewhere is a rich person who hates money, well i love spending it, so couldnt we just swap?
blessed be

Given my luck with most things in life, and the way my mind works..sometimes I think I belong in a different era, rather than a different country -- maybe I'd be happier.
All in all though I tend not to wish for stuff like this, it kinda just occurs to meh lol.

I think sometimes we all feel like this, I'd like to go back to a different era but with the money I earn now - it would be like living like a millionaire lol! Thanks for your response!

I was born in the south in Louisana and when i was very young we came to Texas..I love it here..The weather is beautiful, the climate is good, and the winters are mild.I am glad i was raised right here in Houston Texas...You have anything you want here, and things stay open all night if you choose to go any where..My History is right here and i plan to be here the rest of my life...I live in a rurial area right outside of town, its country like but close to anything you want.....So no i cannot say i have ever felt this way....I have lived other places for a little while each and i felt as i was out of my comfort zone...

It sounds just like you are meant to be there then, the time and place is right for you! Don't get me wrong I do like living where I am and who I am, but because I'm cold so much of the time I just think I should have been born in a warmer climate! Thanks for your continued support!

the thought never crossed my mind. but sometimes i also wonder what if i'm born to another family. would i have the same situation i have now? don't get me wrong, but i love my family. and i feel so lucky to have them.
if you hate winter, why not travel someplace else? or migrate to a tropical country. i'm from the philippines. and though we only have 2 seasons here, i love it here. i'm quite interested with snow though. haha. hope i could get to experience winter too when i go to the US.

I would love to be born during the 70s, I don't know why and I love the things in that generation, values, cultures, clothes. That's just purely my imagination! I love life too but if I could pick a time, I would pick it back then and try once more!

I don't remember too much of the 70's to be honest I was only 9 when they finished, but I do remember some of being a kid and the lovely school holidays and my friends. I would like to go back as an adult now, only for a few days though, not for good! There's been a tv series on here in the UK where a guy had an accident and was transported back to the 70's. It's quite fascinating looking back at all the old cars and fashions!

I've felt like a misfit most of my life. I never thought I was "meant" to be another person, but I always wished i was in another era, like the 50's or something. When there was less technology and regulations and stuff.

Yes i sometimes feel that i don't fit in the place esp. wen i am not allowed to express my ideas and thoughts..i wish that i need to be in a place where everyone is free to express themselves and not become a slave to your own thoughts.
