When you nurse, do you do other things while your baby eats?

I am a proud mom of a second baby boy. I didn't nurse my first son, but I thought I would give it a try with Ari. Well, I'm loving it so far. The hardest thing about it is trying to get used to doing it in public. I'm not as shy as I used to be about it since I have to get things done throughout the day. It's important for me to be able to multitask while nursing. I have a carrier which allows me to feed Ari and have my hands free. I am also on the computer a lot, but I'm usually typing with just one hand. Of course there are times when I nurse him and give him all my attention. Do any of you out there do the same thing? If you do, what other tasks do you do?

I nursed both my kids and that was one of the things I hated about nursing...I couldn't do anything constructive. Both of them didn't like being in a carrier while nursing (infact, the younger one didn't like the carrier at all!).
I would watch T.V. or talk softly to them while they nursed. I remember nursing my older son while I was at the computer and he wasfine (but I did that only when I really had to). My son is very fussy about positions and will have no other way and it was difficult to multi-task while he was nursing. Even trying to read something would get a howl from him!

I tried to do other things - such as reading, working on the computer, etc. but the babies didn't really like me to do other things and would fuss.
