What kinds of books do you prefer reading the most? Lately, I've really been enjoying fantasies. Romance, thriller, sci-fi, etc.?

I like a lot of different genres, I'm open to reading anything. Not that I like it all, I just will try to read any type. I prefer suspense/thriller novels. I also enjoy crime/mystery books. I also like anything with a nice twist that keeps you guessing.

Lately most of the books I've been reading have been by Dean Koontz, Dan Brown or James Patterson. I really love Dean Koontz' novels because there usually are some really weird twists. I particularly love Midnight and The Bad Place. I'm waiting for a Barnes & Noble gift certificate to come in the mail so I can go get a few new books. I'm also always open to suggestions of new things to read.

My favourite are international novels - set in any country I'm not picky. It's really nice to be able to read a good book (mainly fiction) but also be educated on the culture, landscape and history of the place as well. I've read ones from India, to Ukraine, to Chile, to Nigeria, to China, to Brazil... and the list goes one :)

I think Nora Roberts is my favorite when I'm in the mood for a romance novel. She includes just the right amount of action with romance to keep things interesting.

I prefer reading novels that include some traveling, ones that are set in the past or ones about social issues. It is interesting to read novels that are set in countries that I have been to or want to go to. I often take a novel away with me when I travel and the setting in the book may be the same as one of my destinations. I have read many novels set in World War II and find the detail of the characters experiences fascinating. I like to read novels that detail family life and old fashioned romance. I especially like reading a novel about an animal or some animals.

I like reading all kinds of books. A good book is a good book no matter the genre. But I guess I'd have to say romance is my favorite genre. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a happy ending. My favorite romance author is Linda Howard. But I also love Anne Rice, Stephen King, Alice Hoffman, Dave Barry and Carl Hiaason. Oh yeah, and Elmore Leonard.

You know, I went through a period a couple years ago where I was reading LOTS of self-help books on various topics. I found them inspiring and thought-provoking. Then all of a sudden, my interests changed, and it's been quite a long while since I've read one. (Of course they count! :P )

I like historical fiction mysteries. really cool. The mystery is set in the historical period, which is accurately drawn (as much as the storyline allows). The mystery may be based on historical events, but may only reference such events like other murders taking place at the time of the Jack the Ripper Murders. When they get the history right, it makes for great reading.

hi there, I love all sorts of books.Since childhood i have had a keen interest in reading them. I went ahead and completed my masters in English Literature.I loved the Restoration period as well as the Romantics. The New age or the Modern age writers are good too but they showcase reality very strongly thats something i dont like. Metaphysicals are good too. As a child i grew up on Hardy boys and secret seven.I enjoyed Babara Cartland too.Suspence triller are always were high on my list
