Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?

Did anyone ever used to watch that show, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego? My sister and I loved that show, and my parents loved that we liked a show that actually taught something. We even had the computer game. If you didn't ever see that show, was there a show you watched that was entertaining, but educational as well?

I remember that show! It had all those evil villains like RoboCop and there was also those singing dudes. Man, that was a long time ago! 1992-93 was the last time I saw it. I learned how to pronounce some of the names of those African countries.

I used to have the game when I was younger. Now, I think I have Where In Time Is Carmen Sandiego, but the silly thing is, my computer is way to good for it to play properly now. I never saw the show on tv, wasn't the sort of thing my mum wanted my younger sisters to watch, so I had to miss out too.

I loved this show. I would sit down with my grandkids and watch it all the time. I liked that it was educational value. I wish there were more programs like it for the kids today..

I would catch it sometimes, not because I was really intending to watch it, just was on. Being that I am OLD, there were few shows for kids like that. Tho the networks used to have a show called "That's the way it was..." or something like that that was historical. I remember watching that.

We never watched the show, but in the 80's when we had our first computer, we played the game. I loved that game as much as the kids, and we played it until we remembered all the clues and places. When I was a kid there was a science show that I used to watch that showed how to do simple experiments and make things. I don't remember what it was called, but I liked that I learned how things worked.

I used to watch that show all the time when I was younger. I wish it was still on, everyday after school I would put on PBS and watch it with my younger brothers. I was fun and educational.

Yeah I watched it, I also have a computer game I am going to teach my little sister how to use it this summer. I had a blast playing it and it kept me occupied for hours looking for clues and all the other fun things. I think it is a great way to help the kids learn. It is also good for those who want to help remember things like sharpen the mind with things we have forgotten we learned at school.

Believe me when I say so do I. I have tablets full of information I don't want to forget. Seems I am always remembering things I don't want or need to. And can recall them easy but something I want to remember it usually starts slipping my mind a few minutes afterward if I don't write it down. Thank goodness for post-its

I used to watch it with my kids when they were little. I loved it because it was educational, and because I actually learned some things watching it!

I think that is what my mom liked about it too. And she didn't feel like she was letting us waste time by watching TV.

I used to absolutely love this show! I remember watching it every afternoon when I would get home from school. I even had a tape of singing group, but I can't remember where I got it from. Acapella was their name I think. I had a video game too because there were a ton of Carmen spin-offs. It was Where in Time Carmen San Diego. I wish it still came on, I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

We used to watch that with our older kids. Our youngest, now 8, has never seen the show (maybe as an infant, but he doesn't remember). It was a great show. We also used to watch Ghost Writer and Bill Nye the Science Guy (who has a recurring role on Numbers).

Bill Nye plays the part of an engineering professor named Bill at the university where Charlie Epps and Larry and Amita teach. He's not in the show very often, but my kids will say, "Look! It's Bill Nye the Science Guy!".

I used to watch it somewhat religiously, lol. We didn't have cable, so PBS was the only tv we ever watched when we did. I really liked the computer game, too - though we weren't very good at solving the clues. Another show I absolutely adored was Square One. It was all about math. I know, I was a pretty big dork as a kid. I still kind of am, lol.

They really should show the reruns. I think they could market it and draw in a whole new audience.

I loved the carmen san diego show. I always used to watchi it at the weekends when i visited my dad. Loved all the detective sort of story and in a way you could always try and figure things out for yourself while the show was on. Very good show and good learning experience at the same time. I also had the games for my megadrive lol (how old is this show? hehe) when it was out. I used to spend hours finding that darn woman lol.

I was the adult and my son used to watch that show and I really loved it. I watched it with him. I also loved sesame street and the polka dot door. When I was a kid we had magic tom, here in montreal, the friendly giant, johnny jelly bean, the flintstones , romper room, I never missed any of those either.

I used to love that show, whooo hoo and it was educational too. I also like Jeoporady because it's educational & Millionare as well. All these shows are educational and teach us something. I believe "Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?" may be on the Game Show Network (re-runs), right? Have a wonderful day. Pablo

I never got into that show but heard the phrase a million times.. The only educational tv shows that I watch are the shows on the cooking channel or on HGTV, I love to watch those shows and try some of their ideas.. I have painted and decorated using tips from HGTV.. I have also cooked new dishes using what I learned from the Cooking Channel.. I am not into that much educational tv, but do like those two shows..

I didn't know there was an actual show for Carmen San Diego. =) But I loved playing the computer game. Used to spend hours on my computer searching "around the world" for clues as a kid. I will try to see if there are torrents for this show. If you guys know any please let me know.
