He has never had problems with his eyes, but this morning he was kinda keeping his eye closed and i never seen him do this before! It don't look infected or anything could it just be my cat trying to get attention?Cause he is known for limbing to get attention and he knows it works!lol=)

The same thing happened with my cat one time so I made a solution of 1 cup of water to 1 tsp of salt and dripped a couple drips into her eye with a cotton ball. I decided if it didn't get better in a few days I would take her to the vet. She could open her eye well after I did each treatment (I did it a couple times a day) and after a few days she was perfectly fine. We thought she probably got a cut from our other kitty because they are always playing and sometimes he puts his claws out when he shouldn't!

Do you have any other cats? Mine wrestle around and sometimes one or the other will get whacked in the eye. Then for a few hours they keep it closed. I've never seen it last more than a day. So if it is still doing it, definitely take it to the vet.

Does your cat ever have sleepy bugs (mucous) in the corners of his eyes? My youngest has feline herpes has since she was a kitten. It is spread from cat to cat between litter mates. So, I brought my youngest home and she gave the herpes to my oldest cat. Both of them have outbreaks now and then. And, my oldest will keep one eye closed when it gets really bad. BTW...feline herpes is not like human herpes. It can only be spread from cat to cat so, you are not at risk and there is nothing wrong with your cat if he has herpes. My suggestion is that you take him to the vet and have your vet check him out. If it is herpes, your vet will give you an ointment to put in your cat's eye a couple times a day. Feline herpes can cause upper respiratory problems so, it is a good idea to treat it.
And, in order to be sure, you should take your cat to the vet. It could be just an abrasion. Either way, better safe than sorry.

id have the cats eyes checked by a vet.
no offense, but sometimes extra help in that area from a vet is always helpful.
