I love chineese food, different meals, but,my favorite is Happy Family, meat dumpling with plenty of dumpling sauce and egg drop soup.Happy Family is expensive,so I usually will get, chicken with garlic sauce, lemon chicken, moo goo gai pan or chicken, shrimp or como fried rice.I used to cook some chineese at home in my wok. But,I no longer have it.I don't have time now anyway so I order for delivery or eat out. What do you do ?

Not many of my friends like Chinese food, so I tend to just order for a delivery when I want it and eat it in the house by myself or share it with my parents as they do huge portions. I sometimes cook Chinese at home, but you can't beat a takeaway Chinese in my opinion.

Around here you can get a delivery with any amount, but if you spend over a certain amount then you get free delivery. The Chinese I go to doesn't do delivery though, but it is within walking distance, so that is good.

I like various kinds of Asian food but after living in Singapore, I have found that the food there is different to that served in Asian eateries at home in Australia. I live too far from any place like this and I find the prices are way too expensive for me these days too so I cook my own. The best way to do this is with authentic Asian sauces rather than any others. My favourite brand is Lee Kum Kee. I've never cooked in a wok and I'm not good with the various ways of cutting and slicing meat and also with the cooking of many vegetable types. But I still enjoy my inexperienced attempts at Asian cookery.

I love chinese food. It is easy to get in Malaysia and i eat chinese food most of the time when i am out there. I love their Hainanese Chicken rice and dumpling soup known also as Wonton soup. Chinese fried rice are nice to have too. I love the smell of the fried rice and also the taste of it especially when it is slightly charred. We don't normally order for delivery as there are very little chinese shops that provide delivery service for chinese food as it is readily available almost everywhere near residential areas.

We love chinese food. We would eat it at least 3 times a week if we could but it is expensive. My husband has learned how to cook the BEST crab rangoon you could ever eat. He can also make chicken fingers, egg rolls, and stir fry.
We like to order out so we can get a variety and our favorite thing to do is go to the restaurants that have buffets. But the only place I eat crab rangoon anymore is at home because after eating the ones my hubby made the rest are very disappointing.

why do you have to post such sumptuous discussions? It was only Sunday that dinner was mixed fried rice, chilly chicken and schezwan prawns. The gravy dishes are all dumplings here too and both my son and me just love to put a fork in and tuck them into our mouths. So we actually order more than we need to go with the rice (thinking of poor hubby). We all love Chinese food. I do try it at home sometimes, but somehow it doesn’t taste the same.

I found that the pre packaged chineese food at the store is not very good. The chineese food from the restaurant is served in such large quanities that it can make a couples of meals. So,therefore it is not really expensive.

Love chinese food and we usually order for delivery as I'm terrible when it comes to cooking it LOL I love the chicken corn soup, beef vegetable, lemon chicken, combo fried rice and sometimes the orange beef. There are few other choices we buy but can't remember off hand.

I love chinese food. I've been wanting some good chinese for a while now from PF chengs. Even though it cost alittle bit more at least it taste so much better. I love the lo mein. My husband makes lo mein at home and its pretty good but I rather PF Chengs. I've been wanting to taste the scallops over there b/c I keep hearing that they are so good.

Being Asian (well, Malaysian to be exact), I cook it but I live in Switzerland so I have to be resourceful.
So far, I've made curries, char siew (roast pork Chinese style), Chinese style spare ribs, fried rice, etc...
Am planning to try out the more complicated stuff like some assam laksa (fish soup with noodles), wantans (dumpling soup), and bak kut teh (herbal pork soup with heaps of meat, ribs and pork trotter).

There are but it's more towards Vietnamese, Indochinese and Thai or China Chinese cuisine, and it's pretty expensive.
Plus the hubby's logic is since he has an Asian wife who knows how to cook why eat out?
Malaysian cuisine is slightly different...especially when it comes to the curries. The curries here are more saffron/tumeric-ish than spicy hot with chilli.

I love Chinese food. It would be hard to pick a favorite dish, they are all so good. I do have a favorite Chinese restaurant, its a local place. They have some out of this world boneless almond chicken. Their fried rice and egg rolls are top of the line. My mom and I go for lunch, they have some fantastic lunch specials. You get an entree, fried rice, egg roll, soup, and tea or coffee for under $5, thats a deal. You get stuffed too.

Chinese food is my favorite of all foods!! I always order it to take out and I pick it up. That saves me the delivery charge and I only live a few miles from my favorite Chinese restaurant, Bill Lee's. It's delicious! I always order chicken fried rice [my total favorite, I love rice!] and chicken chow mein, sometimes broccoli beef and / or sweet and sour chicken but its expensive so I don't get it very often. :-(

I love Chinese food. I eat it all the time at home, at the foodcourts or the restaurants. The great thing about Chinese food and Chinese cooking are that they come from many dialect origins, so there is a wide variety of recipes for cooking meat, fish, seafood, tofu and vegetables. One can plan a whole week's menu of lunch and dinner dishes without repeating the same dishes. If you go traveling everywhere and take Chinese food at the footcourts in the major cities, you will usually find the standard fare served like black pepper beef, lemon chicken, honey chicken, fried rice, sweet and sour pork and mixed vegetables, but in fact that only represents a small variety of the kinds of dishes found in Chinese cooking. If you come to a place like Singapore where Chinese food is served everywhere, the choices are really very wide. That's why so many people swear to eating as one of their favorite pastimes here. And I haven't even started talking about all the non-Chinese fare we can get here.

We have a good Chinese place right outside our base that delivers. We order from there a couple times a month. We love General Tso chicken. I get white rice and my husband gets fried. I like Spring Rolls too. My son always called them "the things with the salad in them" when he was little.
I like chicken and broccoli sometimes too. I generally don't care for any of the shrimp meals.
I like Egg Drop Soup as long as it doesn't have too much egg white in it. The best egg drop soup I have had was actually at a Japanese restaurant.
I wish I could make this stuff at home!

Lol,that's a kid for you, that's cute,"the things with salad in them".That just made me wonder, how do the delivery people get thru the gate to make a delivery ? Especially since 9/11,the security is much higher.I have never had Japanese food.My husband loved sushi.I like my food cooked, thank you.I like shrimp thou not cooked.Iam going to have to put that on my list of things to do.
