I haven't been on mylot much the last few days has I have been organizing everything to start selling. I printed introductions to glue to the front of my brocheres. I have done up a little prize to enter everyones name who orders in to have a chance to win. I have been reviewing the brocheres back to front. I am working from 2 campagains, as they let you do this for your first couple. I had trouble finding something to wear tonight as I have gained alot of weight. Makes me more eager to get started. If anybody has suggestions to help me build a customer base, realizing I have no family here, I would appreciate the ideas.

I've been selling Avon for about 18 months now and my business has grown very gradually. At first it was relatives mostly who ordered. I started hanging brochures on all the doorknobs in the area and got more customers that way. I also had a friend or two who took brochures to their work place for me.
How did you like the sales meeting? I really enjoy mine. My District Manager always gives us free samples and sometimes free brochures. She gives prizes too! Once I got a free watch which I've really enjoyed. She makes a good presentation with slide shows and lots of help on selling products.

My district manager gives prizes too. At my second sales meeting I won so many that everybody was teasing that I was going to need a truck to carry everything home. My business has taken off more than I expected. I am going to make the president club apprentice in 3 campaigns instead of the five they allow you. I am top sales in new people and CFTs. I have recuited 1 person for leadership and my second will be starting in a week. I am extremely busy with it. I got my customeeers by doing lots of door knocking. My district manager came with me a few times. Last two campagains my sales approached the 1000 dollar mark. I am having an open house next Sunday to see if I can get more customers in the area. I also have 2 business helpers. One of them is going to become a rep in September, so then I will only need one more to get to the leadership level.

Congratulations on all of the success you are having as an Avon Representative. I knew you could do it because you sounded determined.

Hi linda345! Good luck dear in your Avon business. I will share with you what my aunt did before when she was just starting to build a customer bas. What she did is ask her friend who were working in different offices at that time. She asked them if she could come in their offices during break time and she be introduced to their officemates. She got some customers there and in the same way, asked those new customers if they can refer her to some friends of theirs also. From there she was able to build a customer base and some became her regular clients. Just my thoughts dear friend. Take care and have a nice day!

I work for Home Depot and a co-worker brings his wifes Avon catalogs to work. The women love to buy things from it.If you have some big retail stores around you,see if they will let you put your catalogs in their break room for the employees.

do you have friends who work for big companies such as walmart and stuff? if so id say give them a booklet and have them sit it in the break room for a couple of days... think of the hundreds of people it takes to run one wal-mart... this is what i did for a friend of mine when i worked for wal-mart and within one week she got about 50 orders just a suggestion hope it helps :)
