I think I was born unmotivated, if yu have been ill that might be the reason for it. Maybe you just need to rest a while, get out and get more fresh air and exercise as well.

I lack motivation when I'm not feeling my best. I think my body is telling me to quit doing one hundred things at once. I don't feel like doing stuff when my allergies are acting up too - just too darn tired. And then there are times when a little bit of depression sinks in and there goes wanting to do stuff. There are a lot of reasons for me at least. It doesn't last long - I hope it doesn't last long for you - watch TV, read a book, enjoy your lack of motivation

This has also been happening to me lately... i am not even that motivated to mylot anymore... i used to start my day with discussions, comments and responses... but for the past few days... i feel like i just want to go home and lay in bed...
I think this is partly because my work is so boring... and aside for that... marital problems are in the way... i think i need a new job... but one that pays more or the same... but would require me to be more productive...

yes mine could be due to the stress at work lately as well, just a very unpleasant atmosphere there.well as far as martial problems i don't have a partner, but i am still dealing with solicitors there and that is probably causing stress as well.i hope things get better for you.cheers sue

Yes, I have days like this, but right now it is just because I am working a lot of hours at work and when I get home, I don't feel like doing much of anything.
Somedays like today, I don't even feel too motivated to respond to discussions like today, so I haven't responded to too many today.

Yes, there are days when I just do not feel motivated at all. There are instances when I just want to sit down and watch TV or just lay down in bed. There are times when I do not feel like doing anything. There are times when I start bringing out all the papers that I have to work on but end up just staring at them or flipping through the pages. It's funny because there are also times when I know that there are things that I need to do but end up not having the motivation to really work on them.

I'm feeling that for months. That's why, last month, I rendered my one month notice and enrolled for the next academic year to get my second degree. I'm so looking forward to a sabbatical from the corporate environment and I know I'll have a blast going back to school and all.
Maybe you just need to find time for yourself. Have a day in the spa or enroll at a local college for some short courses. Perhaps the monotony of daily life is getting under your skin.

yes that is a good idea about doing a course,it might inspire me,i think you are probably right in saying that it is the monotony of everything at the moment that has given me lack of motivation.good on you for taking time out for yourself.cheers sue

It happened to me the last month. All I wanted to do was take a break from everything. I think when we work too hard and we tend to forget about ourselves, this could lead to what we call "burn out". Hence it is good to relax every now and then and reward ourselves for all our good works. It's not a selfish thing. We should pamper ourselves once in a while and let ourselves feel loved and cared for. Then it's back to work again!
