Yes I have worked at one job for 2o years. It would have been 30 yrs, but I got married and left it. Then my marriage failed and they encouraged me to come on back; so I accepted the invitation and came back.
I retired a couple years ago.
I got to where I really loved what I did. I cared for people and I worked in public health in a small cummunity.
I really loved my job, even though I met with quite a few challenges well; but despite the odds I held onto it.

When I first started my current job I loved it. Coming from a wage position in a restaurant to a salaried position with benefits in an office was a complete God send. Now I would just say that I like it, most of the time it is great, but when it gets bad it gets so bad that I go home in tears.

You made me smile. What a coincidence! There is a saying that goes like this," NOT ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD" that is a true saying. I am sure that new job comes with good and bad,and with benefits too. We dont get everything in life to go the the way we really want it.
But see, it is not bad every day, so try to brace yourself when days are not too good. Try to work around it, I hope it gets better. Thanks for responding.

Your lucky! I use to like my job till we got a new director. Now everything has changed. Sometimes change is a good thing, but all within a few months is crazy! I would rather stay home with my children anyday! But of course money won't allow that. Times sure are rough!

I hated almost every job I had since 1980, I went to university trained for what I did want and guess what I became disabled and I am not able to do what I wanted to do. But now that I am home I do love writing, and if I didn't need so much money to make ends meet I would write my third book.

I don't love my job but I don't hate it either. I've been a lunch aide with the Headstart program for over 10 years.
I've also done a lot of child care work, subbing in various areas (classroom, bus aide, secretary and custodian).
I want to quit my job....mostly because I really need more time with my homeschooling of my daughters around what has become an extremely busy schedule.

I hear what you said, but if you really want to quit, you must set up yourself, so that you can have asome other means of supporting yourself and your kids. At times we have to think of what is practical.I was like that too at one time. Pray about it, sometimes it takes a long time to get an answer.Try and stay focus on what you really want to do. Thanks for your response.

Yes. I my job. There are obviously quite a few people who don't like their job at all ,so I feel very lucky that I love my job and the people I work with.
I am an accessories buyer for a mjor department store. Basially what I do is go to fashion shows(although not very often), look at product catalogs and vender booths at shows and decide what kinds of accessories are going to be available for you to purchase.
I buy for women's shoes and accessories, so I decide all of the shoes that are in the women's department, all the jewelry(both high and low end), hats, scarves, etc.
Considering how much I loved shopping before I started school for this job, and then the job itself, my shopping has only gotten worse. My boyfriend las very little room in the closet, and once a season I have to go through and edit my wardrobe, otherwise it gets to be too much.
Since many of the clothes I receive are designer labels, I sell them on Ebay(most of them I don't even wear if they arnt my style) and I split the proceeds with a local non-profit that I sit on the board of.

I love my job. And more importantly, I love the people I work with. I think that's the most important thing.
