We all know that Spinach is good for us as it is rich in Iron, contain's vitamin E and atleast 13 plant chemical's that act as anti cancer agant's. Boffin's at Rutgers University in New Jersey have discovered that like the classic cartoon charcter Popeye, you to can have amazing muscle growth by eating Spinach. The veg contain's a natural steroid which boost's muscle growth by 20 per cent. Only catch is you have to eat 2 lbs of it every day.

Actually thinking about it now. To much Iron in your food is bad for you isn't it ? Muscle growth at the expense of toilet worries, your choice lol

Only spinach intake will not build the muscle because the iron present in spinach is not easily absorbed by blood. The iron is plant iron not heme.TO absorb this type of plant iron we need additional calcium intake. The myth of the popeye effect dates back to scientific mistake. In 1870 DR E won wolf mistakenly misplaced a decimal point and wrongly estimate that the iron content in spinach is more than 10 times than other green vegetable. The mistake was corrected in1937.Then it was too late because popeye cartoon character was appeared in 1929.
