hey all! you've probably seen on mylot discussions started by people who just don't have anything better to do... discussions like "my car is black. what colour is your car?" or "i've just saw the x show. did you see it?" et cetera...But, there are also a lot of interesting discussions. How would you feel if mylot would give it's users the chance to "rate" a discussion? Do you think it's a good ideea? And, highly rated discussions should be on top of low-rated discussions. That way, we will be encouraged to participate in more better quality discussions. So, what do you think?

Hi Being, the little + - ! are just that--to rate discussions. I actually feel the same way about postings that are short and meaningless--but still, everyone is welcomed on myLot and everyone has freedom of speech, so we should just grin and bear it--and it's not like we don't have a choice--skip it, rate it negative, or just ignore it!! Stay well ~G~

i'm not saying that this should affect..erm, users' accounts. I thought of it just as being a way of sorting a lil'bit more the discussions. I totally agree with you on the freedom of speech part. if someone wants to start a discussion about... anything at all, he/she SHOULD! But, when you view discussion based on interests, the first discussions that show up are the newest ones (right?). So, it would be nicer if the first discussion of an interest page would be a highly rated one. That was my point.

one more thing. of course it has ups and downs, + and -, or whatever you wanna name it. Every lil' thing do. But i was hoping (and i think) that the + was more significant than the -. :)

I agree with you 100% and the little + is a positive, so it is better:-)As far as the "placing good discussions" on the top, I seriously doubt that someone, somewhere is reading each and every post...they probably do get around to it, but with 128,495 users it's highly unlikely. ~G~

I think it's a good idea. Then maybe it would be nice if we got paid better for starting or responding to higher rated discussions! Lol but I don't really see that happening!

well, you can never know. Even if it won't be a change in the payment, i think rating discussions would improve the quality of mylot. That was my original point.

To me, if the topic of the discussion is not interesting to me, I wouldn't even participate in it in the first place. :) However, I feel that a lot of people are here for the pennies, so we should give them a break. Afterall, I feel that this is not truly a real 'forum' where everyone here is purely out to really discuss something important and meaningful. Of course there are exceptions of some discussion threads, nonetheless, give the man a kitkat :D take a break. :)

Yes you are right. I think if you will add a discussion with a lot responses you will receive more money than discussions without any responses. This means that the people will be trying to type more atracitve discussions to earn more money here.

yeah..there are really certain discussions that is POINTLESS to be discuss but we can't say NO or OPPOSE to that idea... we all know that whenever someone joined myLot...it is expected that he/she has the right to write somethin undert he sun...it's just that in some point its either you who doesn't have IDEA why and how to comment such discussion..so JUST ESCAPE and DON'T BOTHER to comment topics which is not in your interest... it can't be denied the fact that this is a free to express our own different ideas e_e.. ALRIGHT!!! @jam@ ~live life~ be contented***

Good idea. There is a lot of stuff you have to go through sometimes to actually find something interesting to comment on. Better money for really great discussion topics is also a great idea.
