when you go shopping or to a event and you come out some hours later and you forget where you parked and you think you parked in one place but found out that it was way across the parking lot in a different place? Share your experience on this or were you for certain you parked there and have never done this before.

Oh honey, I do that everytime I go to Wal-Mart. If I don't make a conscience effort to see which number isle I'm in before I go in the store, I'll come out doing that 'trying to look nonchalant as I stroll around the parking lot' deal. What's really funny is when you see others doing it too. They to will have 'The look' It's always easy to spot your own kind. The thing I really don't get is, if I can remember to look to see what number isle I'm in in the first place, why can't I just remember where the car is to start with.

LOL spot your own kind that is funny. Every one has done it at least once or twice. you go into Walmart and come out the other door and your car is all the way across the parking lot so you forget and think you parked in the area. It is funny because when i do loose it i do the same thing look as if its not the car I'm looking for.I did it one time and someone looked at me, you know that look, and i said I told my friend to meet me in this area where did they park? yes I have also made up a story to cover the shame...

lol, well, you are 'my own kind'
Why do we try to look so nonchalant? We're not fooling anyone.
I use to always go in through the garden center. One day my son and I went in at the other end. We came out the garden center. I don't know how long I walked around looking for car. I was so frustrated I wanted to throw myself on the ground and kick and scream like a big ole baby.
Even after I found the car, I didn't remember parking on that side.
At least we can laugh about it.

I do this all the time..I hate it when I got to look for MY car in the rain or snow..lol..One time I saw a car that looked like mine well I thought it was my car so I got in...The key would not start the car and all of the sudden this voice says from the seat beside of me it might crank if you use my key...lol..I jumped and I know my face had to be the darkest shade of red...

Oh yes, this has happened to me several times. I'm sure I looked weird trying to find my car as well. The funniest is when I change vehicles and I am alone shopping. I will walk right past my car not realizing it's my car because I am looking for my old car. I feel really dumb when I realize what I have done.

oh i have done that before as well or you are driving your wifes car and you are looking for yours. I always feel sorry for those older people you see standing in the parking lot like they are totally lost. I want to help them but if they can't find the car they drove then i know I can't because i have tried and to hear them explain it to you just don't help at all. They will say the car that i drove up here in and i will ask ok what kind is it and the answer is a brown one. Most of them don't even know what type of vehicle they are driving. My heart goes out to them because one day that may be me

I love to change my cars quite a lot as I get bored with them quickly. I'm always looking for the wrong car. Once when I was at a garden centre I actually tried to get into the wrong car, my keys wouldn't fit, I'd wondered who'd dumped shopping on my back seat, then looked across the car park and realised my car was parked elsewhere! Good job no one was looking! My daughter was with me at the time and even she didn't notice! Very red faces running across the car park after that!

the case of mistaken identity it has happened to us all I am sure at one point or another. you were lucky unlike me, I had the original owner standing there while i made a fool out of myself. Talk about red faced I must have looked like Obama while I was trying to sound like I knew what I was talking about.LMAO

To me it's a scary thing not to be able to find my car in a parking lot. But I rarely travel alone so usually there is someone else there to help. The worst way I have lost my car in a parking lot is to park at the mall and then forget and go out the wrong exit. It is a major pain to have to find it that way.
