Yeah you read it right... the 18th child of the family is coming Jan of 09. They have announced it this May and MIchelle Duggar, a mother of 17 children is again on her way with her 18th child.
I admire this family for being Christ centered and raising their children to be good persons. Despite being a large family. JimBob and Michelle had organized well their living with their children. I am happy that they have been truly been blessed by God!
See more about them here:

What can myLot say about this family and having the 18th child on the way? Will you be willing to have as many children as her/them?

woww..., that is incredible... i can't imagine having 18 children... how does the family cope with it??? especially with the prices of everything so high now... also, how big their houses have to be to accomodate that many children??? it is simply unbelievable for me... i just want to have 2 children maximum if God allows me to... i keep on praying that God will bless me with a baby real soon...

Why would anyone in their right minds want a litter of kids. Things are running out in this world and we don't need more people around. I honestly hope they don't have any more. I do wish them luck though and to the kids too.

wow i can not say i would have the patience for 18... also you can raise your children in any religion and still teach them to be good people (just thought id throw this out there). my mom had 7 kids and i thought that was way too many i only want one or two but i may not even get that with the way things are going.

also if they had that much love to spare maybe they should adopt some of those children out there who dont have loving families...there are way too many children who don't to ignore it.

I have seen the Duggars on the Discovery Health channel and they certainly are an amazing family. As for me, there's no way I could handle such a large family. I have four children and that's plenty.

I really feel that having so many children is nice, but to have to deal with so many would be very difficult. I am not really very sure how it is that she is able to also work as a real estate agent. It just does not make a whole lot of sense to me. Although their home is FABULOUS and I think it is great that they are able to have the funds to raise the children the way that they are.
I think that there is a point where you just need to stop. They have been incredibly lucky to have healthy children, but I am sure there will come a time, as they both age, and what will happen when the kdis start at college? Is there money there for them?
It is great that they are able to house all the kids etc, but.....No, I could not have that many kids, I am so sure that I am not wanting to have a third child and though sometimes I think oh how fun it would be to have a third child, I just am looking forward to having my youngest out of diapers.

Wow, and I thought the 10 children my husband had from previous marriages was quite a bit. I am a little scared by the EXTREME fundamentalist attitude of the family, but as long as they are having chilren for all the right reasons, and not trying to just raise more people in an extreme version of the faith (every faith has its extremeists), then let them do what they please, as long as eveyone's taken care of.

this always was the way here in Quebec, even as much as 50 years ago, everyone had 18 and 20 children, my grandmother said in her grandmother's time if you didn't have at least 6 children you were not considered a woman by the other mothers.

It is ridiculous how a woman can have seventeen kids and still be in the pink of health. How can they manage all the kids. I only want one kid and that's about it. I cant go through all the stress of handling the kids and looking after them all the time. Kudo's to the lady.

WOW, well if they are fine with it, who are we to judge? Personally, I don't see any sense in bringing more children in the world where the prices are rising, pollution level is high, relationships are shattering all around you, starvation is rampant, and so on and so forth. I feel it makes sense to take care of the ones who are already here than bring fresh ones into the world.

I don't know how she handles going through pregnancy that many times! I only have three and I have to say, the first one wasn't all that bad. But it was nine years later that I had our second child and three years after I had our third child. Undoubtably the older you get the harder it is on your body to have children. There are more health risks involved for women pregnant over age 40, though there seems to be quite a lot having their first baby at age 40 or older. If they want to populate a nation, that's their business. I just know I don't want any more kids!

Its nice to see that they look after them well. They must be rich!! Most people who you hear about having ridiculous amounts of children are those on the dole wanting more pay-outs from the government. BUT what I think it quite wrong - is them all having names begnning with J!! 18 kids... how confusing when initialed letters come to the house... They're mainly double-barrelled too, yuk. Lol.

No way would be able to. They must have been wealthy from the beginning. I'm in the military and can say there's no way i'd be able to afford it like many people.

I would not be willing to have that many children but my aunt had twenty all of them she gave birth to. There were no adoptions. And everyone of them were fathered by the man she fell in love with years ago and stayed married to him until the day he passed away. There were sets of twins in the twenty. The family all pulled together and helped out in the house. My aunt didn't have to do anything in the house the kids took care of it all. Including the oldest daughter did the cooking. My aunt has passed away but she did a good job raising the kids to be independent and take care of themselves. They are all grown and out on their own.
