Before when i was in high school, my mom used to ask me iron our clothes evry Sunday and since im the oldest, i am the one responsible for this job and ohhhhh! It relly sucks meand really a very tough work. But now we do it all by ourselves but sometimes i iron clothes due for some days to lessesn the charge of electricity when we do it one at a time.

Sometime back I also did my ironing once a week during weekends to lessen the electricity cost. But now, with so much work load during week ends, I just cannot add the misery of ironing to it. I make my son (8yrs) iron his sister's (4 yrs) hankies. Day before he ironed one of her frocks and I gave him a Star for that. I think its good to train children to do this type of work. By the way, I hate ironing. (LOL)

I hate ironing too! It's the worst job isn't it? Ijust don't iron. Simple as that. Unless I really REALLY have to. If i'm going out and something needs ironig well i'll pull the board out and iron it but usually i just hang my clothes up straight away after pulling them off the line and by the time I go to wear them the wrinkles have magically fallen out! Also if you hang the clothes up on the line evenly and nealty, they dry fairly flat.

I don't prefer to iron clothes much, only for special occasions where my clothing requires such detail. My husband and I buy wrinkle free clothing or like some of the others make sure to hang it up right out of the dryer to prevent wrinkles in the first place.

Iron is a 4 letter word. LOL
Actually we seldom do any ironing, simply because as soon as the clothes are washed, they are hung out on the clothes line and the wrinkles are gone over by hand so they dry without creases. When they are dry, they are taken off the line and folded before being put into the basket and then immediately put away.
I guess we would iron less than half a dozen times a year and then it would be because we are going our somewhere and near 'good' clothes. Aah the joys of retirement. :)

Most everyone hates ironing and, thank goodness, it isn't needed to be done as often as it used to be, but I think everyone should do their own ironing. Men can iron just as well as women can. When my husband was a teenager, he used to do the ironing for his mother because she had to work. I always thought that was a really nice thing for him to do.
