Good News

I just wanted to share my good news with everyone.
Yesterday I got a van! I'm very excited. I haven't had a vehicle of my own in about 4-5 years. We'd been sharing a very small car that the whole family could not fit into. It's been a struggle for the past 2 years since our fourth was born and we could no longer go anywhere together.
Now we have 2 vehicles, so I am very excited.
So.. to open this up to an actual discussion, do you have any really exciting news that has happened recently to make your life a bit easier?

I've had some positive news, but I'm not ready to share it just yet. I'll wait until it's confirmed. I have a horrible feeling that if I say it out loud it's an invitation for it all to go wrong!!
However, I had to jump into this discussion just to congratulate you on your own news. You must be thrilled to bits!

No, I haven't had any really good news to make my life easier but if sure would be nice to have a bit of good new or good luck about now.. We have although, been owners of a van before, and it was so nice.. We had what my mom used to call, "Big Blue", she named all of the vans that we owned, Big Blue was one of the best vans that we had ever owned.. I am so glad that you finally got a van for the kids, and to be able to all go places together now.. Have fun and enjoy..

Congratulations on the new van! I had a van until about a year ago and I really miss it. However, with the price of gas, I am afraid that I won't be driving much anyway this year.
We have two vehicles and I don't know how we could ever imagine with just one. With us both working and having kids to run places and other things in life, I just can't imagine.

I don't work, but dealing with 1 car was still a nighmare. I'd either have to do the grocery shopping when hubby is home, or drive him to work after the kids get on the bus (which makes him late) then he'd have to find a ride home, and pay his ride something for gas.
Same thing on days with doctor's appointments, kid's activities, etc etc. It just isn't posible for a family to survive on 1 vehicle.

No not really, katsmeow. I wish I had the same news as you. I am ready for my minivan..... the mom mobile. My husband can't stand the thought of driving a minivan and for that reason has been dragging his feet about going to shop for one. I think he is waiting for me to give in and agree to the SUV that he wants instead of a minivan.
I am so happy for you. It can not have been easy on you not being able to all fit in one car.

Sounds like my husband. He wanted me to get a Dodge Durango because "it's safer in the snow". Yeah, it also costs a lot more, and eats up more gas.
Well I put my foot down and this van just appeared the day before our stimulus check arrived, so it all worked out for me.

so far haven't yet great news for us to rejoice but i am hoping it will come soon. i am planning to have vehicle soon maybe all of my friends here will know if that will come. as of now i only have to motorcycle at home that i used sometimes to visit my family and friends on our nearby town. i bought this last year, my friend encourage me to buy one vehicle for my comfort specially in transacting my offline business. i do hope it will come soon. thanks for the post.

Yup. Definitely, I just got my confirmation from my current company.In other words, I'm now their permanent staff. Yeah. Thank God for such a good news. Especially today is my mum's birthday too. Will have a great feast during the celebration tonight.'

Wow , what news , congrates,i hope you are enjoying your VAN in this SUMMER. Same thing happen to me but its my bike , i love my bike and its name is "Yo" and i have so many plan with my bike. I have to search one girl friend for him.
