I got in the habit a few years ago of freezing grapes. My daughter loves them. And they are great sweet treat instead of candy. Does anyone else freeze their grapes?

Now this is a novel idea I might try this for hubby to beat the summer heat snacking.

They are nice, but sometimes still too cold for my teeth. I think my daughter's teeth are getting more sensitive, too. She doesn't seem quite as fond of frozen grapes as she used to be.

I agree it is better than candies, but by freezing You definitely will not have the same vitamins like from fresh grapes, otherwise it is good point.

My Mom started doing this and swears by it. I'll have to try it sometime and see how it goes. I love grapes although I prefer the red ones. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Well I too have heard of doing this, but never tried it. I love grapes. I can eat them til I am sick. The next time I find some on sale I am going to try to freeze some and see what it is like. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, I wish I read this a few days ago...I bought some grapes a hair past their prime last week- I used some for a fruit salad but many were left. I would have frozen them had I known I could! Do you eat them frozen, then, or thaw them first...? I imagine you eat them frozen...but thought I should clarify...lol. That would be a nice summer time treat!

A couple of years ago, someone else started a discussion about freezing grapes and raved on how good they were. I forgot all about it and haven't tried it yet. I also wondered about raisins because I always had them on hand, but she said they'd probably break her teeth . So, I haven't tried the raisins, either. But, thanks for reminding me as I might get grapes next time and hopefully I will remember to freeze them.

I have never tried frozen grapes. I really like to eat grapes though. I had a discussion from another Mylot friend a while back and they said that they like to freeze grapes also and eat them like that. I'm not sure if my poor sensative teeth can handle it, but I would like to try it some time.

We have a container of red grapes and green grapes in the freezer right now. They are like tiny popsicles. My son loves them.

Oh my yes! Frozen grapes are yummy! I haven't done this in ages though and I love to do it with the green grapes mostly. I like to also freeze watermelon pieces, it just has a different texture and is sooo good!
