What in the heck is this world coming to? I just don't understand how no one knew she was pregnant? I mean, if the baby was born at six pounds, she had to have a good size belly on her. It's crazy and I think the man who did this to her should be put away for life and his kids needs to be taken out of his home, without question!
The sad thing is that today kids are dressing older and older at a young age. Now, I'm not saying that this little girl was at fault or that she deserved what happened to her. No way! However, I think that parents need to dress their little girls more like little girls than like young teens. Look what happened to JonBenet Ramsey. That little girl dressed way too old for her age. It was absolutely ridiculous! She looked like a woman rather than a little girl...
I was in a restaurant a month or so ago and I saw a little girl who was dressed way way too old for her age. She was dressed as a nineteen year old would have been dressed. It was ridiculous! Kids grow up so fast these days, why make them grow up any faster than they have to? What is everyone's opinion on all this?

That is absolutely horrible! And, the guy was so much older than her, he must have been really sick. When I was ten, I looked much older because I was bigger and more developed. I didn't dress older, but I looked older and I couldn't help it. I remember all these creeps hitting on me and I was just a little child! You could tell I was a child by the way I acted. I don't know how a grown man could be turned on by that.

Yeah, well, in a stituation like that you can't help it if you look older but some of these girls who are 10 or 12 dress like they are little hoochie mommas and it's really scary!
I really don't know how men can do things like this to a child, it's really sick to think about it! They definitely have some major mental issues!

I do agree upon this horrible subject. That guy who was with that ten year old who gave birth must have been sick. This was the worst ever situation hitting on me. This was the worst story that I have ever heard of before.

I never heard of or read about this situation at all before in my life. Now how do you think a ten year old give birth to a baby? Why do you think? I think this is really unusual. How would a ten year old have a great size belly on her? I agree that kids are now dressing older and older at a young age. I agree that this little girl is never at fault. It is probably her medical condition. It is absolutely difficult to interpret.

Yeah, it's definitely hard to believe and my heart goes out to her and her family. It's an awful situation for them to be in and to have happen to them...

I agree with you SassyKittyKat,
I believe that is also the result of media, the more they are watching their favorite celebrities, they tend to imitate them in their ways and made them dress older than what they are suppose too, plus some at a young age, has already some make up kit and everything, if parents will guide them properly, I know it can be solved!

Oh, I definitely think that the bad examples of young celebrities today, has a lot to do with it. However, parents have to be on top of things like this and provide guidance and let their young child understand that following in these celebrities footsteps could be harmful to them. Parents need to set guidelines and a lot of parents do but a lot don't and that results in these young girls getting pregnant at such early ages and things like that.

I agree and I hope they will realize that their presence and support to their kids is very much needed in this stage, so not to destroy the kid's future and deprive her for living happily and free from any major responsibility as getting babies early!

Why are we discussing on the girl who has been raped and gave birth instead
of the rapist? lolx!
My prayer goes to the family and the little girl. May she will have all the
strength she needs to fight all these. With her situation and her family's , I just hope they will come to Jesus and seek for peace and strength..
For the rapist..he needs help too..and our prayers..let us not condemn him.
We all need miracles here on this fallen world.. and I know our only hope is Jesus! Yeah! J E S U S...:)
I'm not being religious in here ok? Just practical ..*winks!
Peace everyone!

Thanks. I thought I'd get flamed for getting Jesus in this topic.lolx.
I used to fear wars, terrorist, and this one --rape..it may not happen to me or us but we don't know. It could happen to our friends and any of our loved ones.
So with this, I was always searching for answers..Where are we going? Do humans exist to experience all these? Why?
Deep inside, I know there was something..And I believed, man are not meant to live this way
So it led me to ask...Where shall we take refuge from all these?
Then just one day... I found the answer...
It's JESUS...
Now, I live a fearless life..Inspite of what my situation is..I fear nothing..because I rest in Jesus..in Him I can only take refuge.
It's amazing! Can you see me smiling:)

This is not the only story I heard about a girl having a baby at the age of 10. About twenty years ago when I read an article in a Jet magazine (during the 1980's), it was about a nine-year-old girl from a foreign country who gave birth to a baby girl out of nowhere. These things can happen unexpectedly. Somewhere in this world, there are some girls who have puberty before the age of 9, and it is official.

Yeah and there was an incident in another foreign country where a six year old had give birth. I think it was back in 1939 or something like that. It definitely can happen. My aunt got her first period when she was 8 years old. It all depends on the individual.

My cousin is 13 years old and all of mine friends tried to date her *many*. Most of them thought she is 16 years old, she is even taller then me and look more mature then me. I am nearly 20 now.

I think that he's been arrested. That's crazy! Does she dress her age or older? If she dresses older, her mother needs to remedy the situation now before it gets out of hand...

Maybe perhaps out of concern for her well being you should say something to her or her mother. That would be the responsible thing to do in my opinion. By you borrowing her clothes it's like you're saying you're ok with how she dresses...

yeah that is freaking sick. I don't have sound here at work so I couldnt watch the video but I am going to check it out later on. I agree that the clothes kids wear now a days are way to skanky for their age. Even baby clothes are way to old looking. I really dont know how the parents didn't know she was prego. Did this mexican guy rape her?
@SassyKittyKat (2135)

Yes, sadly he raped her and I'm with you, I really don't understand how they didn't know she was pregnant. I mean, she was carrying around a six pound living thing in her belly and she's ten, it wouldn't be too hard to figure it out if you ask me. Something is fishy about the family and if I were the proper authorities, I would at least have a look into her family background.

I cannot view that video, but I did a websearch and I think this is the girl who was raped by an illegal immigrant from Mexico! need I say more? When I was at Y amp outside of Philly back in 1974 or so, there were a lot of black girls that said they had been menstruating since they were nine!

Hello Sassy. I totally agree with you. Nowadays kids dressed a lot older than they should. Whenever I go shopping with my friends, I can always see those 15 or so dressed much older than I(21) with heavy makeup! Then other day, when I went to buy shoes, I saw a 10 years old or so girl trying the high heel that is mean for girls at my age. I was shocked at that time. I agree with you that parents should guide their kids. Meanwhile, I think kids are not that willing to take advises now. They may consider dressed elderly to be a way of expressing their personality. They think they are in high fashion. I guess this is about the whole social environment. It drive the kids act like that.

You got a point there...The influence that society and entertainment has on young children today is pretty strong and sometimes these kids don't want to hear it when adults tell them what's good for them but then, I guess we all have gone through this to some degree at some point in our lives...

Yes, you are right. Yours words have just reminded me of my personally experience. I had doubt on my parents' love and didn't want to listen to them, things like that. It seems that until finally kids meet something bad, then they understand the parents' words are for their own good.

Sadly, this is probably true. However, I think it's a parents responsibility to make sure that their kids listen to them, especially when their kids future and happiness is at stake.

a child rapist or molester which ever term you are comfortable with would rather them dress more child like. That is what drives them to the attempt of rape. I worked for a Sheriff's office and a prison for years and looking into the background of a child molester it is the innocence that attracts them so by dressing them to look older doesn't effect anything. If it did back when girls were not allowed to wear dresses that showed there knees would have been safe because they dressed to hide everything provocative. This is not new news molestation has been around for centuries. not to many years ago you were considered a consenting person at the age of 15. And years before that girls were getting married at 13 and sometimes younger. But i do agree with you very much so on this a ten year old body isn't even prepared to carry a child there bodies haven't completely became a woman at that age how she became pregnant is unreal. The guy that raped her should be hanged my true feelings because if it would have been one of my girls I would have been the one in prison....May be this country should give punishment like other countries give just shot him in the streets mutilate him so he could never do anything like that again to anyone. now that would be punishment to fit the crime for me....

Well, you may be right that innocence is what attracts these pedophiles but like you said, parents still don't need to be letting their young children dress like they're adults. They have plenty of time for that to come later on in life. Life goes so fast as it is, why make it go faster if you don't have to. Kids need to enjoy their childhood while they can because life sets in before you know it and it's over....
Thanks for a great responce that earned you a best responce!

I didn't mean to sound morbid or heartless but if we don't stiffen the punishment then what is to stop others from committing the same types of crime? and yes as parents we should monitor the way our children express them selves. Are we not the ones who buy the clothes they wear? Then why do we buy them for all the world to see a little child not even close to being a woman but let her dress provocative so they can draw that type of attention in the first place? Don't we control our children? I know I do. i allow them to express there emotions but to an extent. I see kids today that really scares me to see where we are going next in the generations to come. Black goth with white faced makeup slicing themselves for self mutilation. Us parents don't see what is going on? No its not always a passing fade. For most of them it is a lifestyle. So we need to get our family morals back where they belong and start acting like parents again.

I was sickened watching your link on this story and it brought tears to my eyes imagining what that poor girl must be going through. 10 years old, she should be out playing with her friends, doing all the little girly things that girls do. Instead she has probably lost all connections with childhood with the birth of a child, brought on by rape.

I know, it makes me so sick to think about it. Also, to think about the fact that she had to go through nine months of pregnancy at such an early age and then labor. Sometimes adult women can't take the pain of labor and this poor 10 year old was forced to. It's just really sad!

this is really heart-breaking new...
but on my opinion its not really just about how the kids dress these days.
its really the attitude of each and evry1 of us...
that stupid man who raped that 10 year old,has brains problem,he didnt think of his little sister or either his own daughters before doing that...and posibbly he could have raped younger than 10...becos all important to him is his lust...
its not the world/earth fault ...thats need evolution...it people...its us that need changes and needs proper thinking...if we are all would dis agree and help together against poverty, crisis, and crimes its posible to defeat this kind of man...
that girl needs justice,,,even that man was arrested,i dont think thats enuf...

It's discusting what this world is coming to these days. Look on tv and almost everything you see has a hidden messange. I think it's so wrong that these kids are going out and gettin pregnant at 10 year old. Not only that but it's so unhealthy. I mean I had to kids in a row at 20 which alot of people would probably say the same thing, but I grew up alot faster being on my own since 16. And it took a physical toll on my boydy. It scares me to think of my children growing up that fast, and I hope to god they turn out alright. But alot of I wonder were are the parents? Why aren't they involved talking to these kids, moneriting there activity. At the same fact if you put to much restriction they will rebel the same. Parents need to be more open with there children and find out whats going on, make them feel they can talk to you about anything.

Well, sadly, this child was raped and so it really wasn't her fault but I agree with what you said. The parents need to talk to their kids more and make sure they know what's going on with them. Personally, I think dating before one is legally able to marry is a bad idea anyway but that's just my personal opinion.
