Ever met and married off the internet?

A friend of mine when we were in high school had this happen to her. Her father had met some woman (not face to face yet) and decided that they were in love. He then packed up and moved to boston to be with this lady and ended up marying her. How could people do something like that if they have never met before? Can you really fall in love without even meeting the person first? I mean everything they told you could be a lie?

I know a couple of couples who have met online and fell madly in love. My husband's uncle met his wife online. She lived very far away. After many months of online dating she flew to where he lived and they got married. I also have a friend who met her true soul mate online. Unfortunately he was married and though he said the marraige was over, after he met my friend and made plans with her, he decided to work things out in his marraige. She was heartbroken. It's sad because I knew them both and they were so perfect for each other. It's not a whole lot different then meeting someone in real life. You never know. It might work out, it might not. But sometimes love is worth taking a chance.

My husband and I met on the internet, and then when we wanted to know more about eachother, we met in person. We fell in love all over again when we met in person, and then we got married. We didn't get married by only knowing eachother on the internet, we met in person first.

i have met only 1 person who will be married in june. they met online and have seen each other too. i guess we can never say if people are true to us. you can meet people in your school, in your workplace and they will turn out to be liars and scammers too - believe me i have seen it all. (oh yes the cruelty of the world ) so i believe that if a heart finds its match, whether they met online or in cafe... if they felt love - then it must really be love.

Hi there Mommy UV3! I also wonder how some people do that because I never can. I don't have anything against them, though. When relationships like that work well, I am happy for them.

i think its sweet and romantic.. And why not take risk, life is full of risks.. You could know some one a year in life and not really know them because in life its based on physical attraction... Could be liar in life too you know.. Well anyway now days there is webcam, so you can see the eyes and can even use mic also.. As i said, only thing you not got is the physical contact i not married of the internet..as i single lol but i would consider it :))

I've met loads of people off the internet, some have been liars, some have turned out really nice, but lets face it you could meet these people in the street and they would still turn out to be liars.. it's in their nature. I've not married anyone I met off the internet, but I know someone who did and they've been together for nine years now.

lover - lovers kissing
we just cant tell why some people can love someone even if they cant see who they are talking with.every man has his own choice and i think we should respect it.personally i dont think i can be in love if i cant see who will be my partner its like buying something you dont see.its difficult because you dont know what going to happen next.
