What are your plans to keeping your kids busy this summer? My local libary has a lot of summer programs for kids of all ages. They really enjoy going to these. I am trying to think of some other ideaas to keep my kids buys this summer. Anyone else have any ideas or plans?

My daughter called a local horse ranch. She wants the children to help with the rescued horses. The children have expressed an interest in wanting horses. This is a way to see if it will just be a novelty and help the ranch with some animals that have been mistreated and severely under fed as well as had no interactions to speak of.
They will brush and feed the older ones that are gentle. And clean stalls. Just interacting with these poor animals will up lift their spirits and give the children something to do for several days during the week.
The children are like the rest of the family extreme animal loves. They are really looking forward to doing this.

shhhh I have five kids, and I am not looking forward to summer time! LOL
Okay so we will be hitting up the park and the library as well as the beach,. We do alot of beach days. Plus my older boys go to a summer soccer program for a couple of weeks. I always buy one of those cheap blow up pools too. The kids always get a kick out of those.

Check out the local museum and also the boys and girls club. sometimes you can go on the web and type in summer activities and the name of your city...and don't forget the word "free".
