Has your city or town ever been featured in a movie or TV show?

I live in Alb, NM. The TV show "Breaking Bad" was filmed here, also I had to sit through "High School Musical" and when Gabriella mentioned "Albuquerque" my kids both looked at each other and noted that's where we live, I guess you can teach through the electronic baby sitter, just kidding. So, any movies or TV shows feature your little neck of the woods?

Hi there friend. My city has been use for a part of "Shadow Man" a 2006 movie with Steven Segal. I think that is the most recent Hollywood production that features Bucharest, Romania in it's pictures. Other movies have also used my town, but i can't think of any right now apart from the one mentioned above.

There is one that featured our place in a movie, it was about a local horror movie. The movie was titled, "Feng Shui" (wind-water in English). They featured our place, we even saw the actors on that movie and we're all happy as we watched them rest for a while in our chapel to wait for their secne..

The movie Glory Road was filmed here in El Paso, and in other parts of the US, but it was mostly here. Pretty cool. Josh Lucas is a handsome guy, I wish I could have gone to that gala they had when he was here during the movie premier. Pretty cool, I think. There have been older movies filmed here as well.

Glory Road was a great movie, I guess we could start a "Map of Famous Movie Places" to combat the well known map of Hollywood stars homes.

No, my town has never been featured, at least not that I know of anyway, but my husband and I saw something being filmed on location not too far from our place some years ago. I can't remember the name of it, but it was a made for TV movie (on CBS, I think). My husband was even asked if he would be an extra, but unfortunately he turned it down. He had to work the days they were filming.
It's too bad, it could have been his start to becoming famous. Oh well, I wouldn't of liked all that paparazzi around him anyway! LOL
Happy mylotting!

I live in Albuquerque too and its becoming quite a popular venue for movie making. A teacher at the school I went to for Massage Therapy was forever sending therapists to the studio.
I've also lived in San Francisco and often came upon movie and tv sets. I've lived in NYC too and many movies have been made there. I lived in MD and nearby is DC and the the Excorcist was shot in nearby Georgetown.
Its kinda cool. Here in ABQ, they look for extras. My husband considered a second part time job when they were looking for security a while back. Its fun I think.

Funny to be called that as I love the ocean and being surrounded by it - on islands. Yet I've always been pulled here, and now that I'm here in the desert, I think I'd like to stay!
Yes SF is amazing. I loved living in a destination place. A place where the whether was different depending what part of the city you were in - I lived at one point in Sunset - my favourite part of the city - foggy. A city where each section of the city has a different culture and feeling.
I sometimes want to go back - but just to visit!

The town where I live and work is often featured in movies. One of the famous movie featured is a movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Drgons. It was taken in one of our famous scenic spots. The citizens of our town are so happy that the majority have watched this movie when it came out. It has made our town famous and attracts more tourists...Take care.

I have read about some independent movies being filmed in Colorado Springs, but I don't remember their names.
The "Austin Powers" movies and "WarGames" feature some exterior shots of Colorado Springs, especially NORAD (the North American Aerospace Defense Command.) The outdoor shot of the honeymoon hotel in the original "Austin Powers" is The Broadmoor resort. (A sign reading "Palace Hotel" was digitally added.)
Even though "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" wasn't filmed in Colorado Springs, it suppposedly takes place in the area.
I got to be a paid extra last year in Denver for Eddie Murphy's upcoming film "NowhereLand." I did some scenes as a pedestrian and others as a background driver.

I live in Manchester, in the North of England, and filming around here's not that uncommon. "Life on Mars" was filmed in Manchester (mostly round the back streets, as the more developed parts would have looked too modern for a series set in the 70s) and the re-make of "Survivors" is filmed in and around Manchester - the centre of town features prominently in the first episode, although subsequent episodes have mostly been filmed in the surrounding countryside and small towns. Both of these series have been set in and around Manchester, but some of the programmes made in the past have been filmed in Manchester and set elsewhere. An example from the 80s would be a popular detective series called "Bulman", which featured extensive location footage of Manchester but was set in London for some reason - very weird. "Adam Adamant Lives" and "Spendoe" were also filmed in Manchester but set in London.

Yes, my town, Angono, the Art Capital of Rizal and also famous for an art gallery and restaurant serving unusual foods, the Balaw Balaw Restaurant was featured in Bizaare Foods by Andrew Zimmern. He had a taste of "Uok", a giant local worm harvested from fallen trees. I bet he didn't like it.

'Fun Size' is the new movie with that girl from 'Victorious' I think. I have to take my 10 year old niece to see that this weekend. Don't worry, no one saw 'Battle of Shaker Heights'.

I'm embarrassed to admit that the MTV show "Viva La bam" was filmed in my hometown. Bam Margera is one of the dudes from that show "Jackass" so some of that stuff was filmed in my town too.
But believe me, those guys are NOT how most people in my town act!

Northern Ireland gets the occasional nod from filmmakers..the recent "Hellboy 2-The Golden Army" featured the Giant's Causeway here as a location, but apparently there was something like only one wide shot of the actual location, then shooting took place someplace else..The Area I live in,County Fermanagh, has wonderful lakeland Scenery, and a Panoramic viewpoint from here featured in a Movie called "The Mapmaker" some years back.

I don't think the one that I am living in currently has, but the city I lived in before this did. It was a Luke Perry movie. the movie was called Normal Life, it was based on a true story of someone who lived near where I lived. The were taping the movie at the entrance of the subdivision that I lived. The streets were blocked off, and I could not get home on the road on I normally took so I parked my car and watched like many other people. Luke Perry was in a pick up truck and he drove it up and down the street a few times. At one point he stopped in front of where we were all standing and waved at us and gave us a thumbs up. It was pretty cool
