When your trash bag gets full in the trash can, do you?

tie the bag up and take to outside trash can or do you set it aside at the back door and try to stuff more in it before taking it out? I used to just tie it up and take it out but the past month I have been setting it by the back door and putting extra trash in it until it gets good and full before taking it outside to the big trash can. It is saving a few trash bags. I did not realize how much more I could stuff in the bags after taking out of our trash can in the house. What do you do?

When it's full i pull it out of the can. If i see room for more especially if i have something that can be stinky i try to it in before taking it out. But once its full and tired it hasta go out. Sometimes if it gets stinky before its full i may have to empty variuos rooms trash cans to fill the bigger kitchen one so i can take it out.

After it is pulled out of the can it really does have more room to put much more. Thanks for the post.

Sure does and sometimes if i have a flat or a pizza box then i have to put that in a big black bag and put the smaller one in there too. I will sit it right in front of the trash can . When my daughter n her kids are here and i even tell them and show them the bag and say "fill this one up first." Next time i see....the are starting on the trash can instead of filling the bag.

I live in a hot country, so I take our trash outside straight away to the big trash bin, otherwise it would start to smell because of the heat. Also, if I did leave it at the back door for any length of time, my dogs would be tempted to rumage in the bag for some tasty left-overs! Not good! So straight into the big trash bin it goes!

Oh, I do not sit mine outside because our dogs would tear them up. I leave it just inside the back door. Thanks for the post.

Yes I have had that problem also. That is why I started taking it out and leaving it at the back door to continue to fill so I don't bust it in the can. Thanks for the post.

I usually just pile it high above the trash can and then take it out and tie it up and then take it out to the big trash can. Putting more on top, keeps it in the trash can until ready to be taken out.

We have two big trash cans outside that we drop the trash bags in so we take them to the dumpster on Saturdays. Thanks for the post.

That is why I buy the trash bags with the red things thru the top so I can stuff them as full as I can and then tie those at the top. Just call me a cheap skate. LOL Thanks for the post.

I take it out soon as it gets full. I don't like trash to sit in the house any longer than it has to. I tie it up and bring it outside and put it into the garbage cans I have outside. It is only a few steps to the garbage can so it doesn't take long to walk around the side of the house and throw it away. I don't ever sit it by the back door.

Yes, I stretch them as much as possible. They are so expensive now that we have to use all the space we can. Thanks for posting.

It depends. If there's meat or something leaking I'll take it right out. But if it all dry stuff, I'll take it out of the can, smash it down some, then let it sit off to the side till its full. Trash bags are too expensive, and we got through at least one a day. I gotta save somehow!

Yes, if something is leaking out I have to discard it immediately. We all are having to cut back so much that this is a great way to start. Thanks for the post.

Ours goes out directly unless my hubby is on his way to take the big garbage can to the curb for pickup and then I'll put it outside the door for him to add. I can't stand the smells anymore it seems, so out it goes! :)
