Ddin't get the child credit on your stimulus check? 350,00 people didn't

Another stimulus mistake has been found 350,000 people who qualified for the $300 child tax credit did not get it on their checks due to a missing check mark on their tax return and a slight computer error the good news you will get it eventually

I hope they get everything straightened out by the time my check is mailed. If you got your check already was it for the right amount?

my daughter is eight months old. I thought She was going to included on mine, and it wasnt I only got 600$ Leave these things up to good ol bush!

I have no idea how they figured mine up. I am married and we filed jointly and I have a daughter. I got $900 back. Any clue on how that worked?

no dear lol. I'm with ya! I wander how in the heck I have a daughter and I only got 600. I thought I would be getting 900 all together.

It depends on your income level. You either earned too much or too little, but it looks like they definitely took your daughter into account. You will get a separate letter explaining how they figured it. If your federal income tax liability before you applied the child tax credit is less than $1,200, then you only get $600 for the joint filer or an amount equal to what your tax liability is before child tax credit. You still get $300 for each child. If as joint filers you earned more than $150,000 you will also receive less than the max of $1,200.

Ours was ok. I hope they get it straightened out for you. I know alot of people did not get theirs or are not right. Hang in there.

My husband and I don't have children, but since he's American, we are owed a Stimulus check, of twelve hundred dollars for us as a couple. We are still waiting for it, and we wonder if they might have messed up. My husband says that IRS stands for I'm Really Screwed. I agree with him.

We got the correct amount including the credit for all three kids.
Gotta love technology though!
