Are fortune tellers con artists?

I have a few friends who see fortune tellers, and have their fortunes told by tarot cards.
Is fortune telling a true art or a con?

fortune telling is a practice of predicitng the future, usually of an individual, through mystical or supernatural means and often for commercial gain. (wikipedia)
just reading this definition of fortune telling, you would see that fortune telling is not really an exact science. it is basically for commercial gain, so it means that fortune tellers do it for money.
i am not saying that it is all they're after and they fool people, it's just that how could you really tell what will happen in the future?

Well, in my humble opinion so called fortune tellers use highly developed guessing techniques to extract information from their customer. This is butressed by their street wise wisdom.
