It is now wet season in our country. It's goodbye now to the summer heat. It is nice to stay at home and sleep when it rains. You there you have no classes or work, you can just relax and unwind at home while enjoying the cool temparature. But on the contrary, rainy days are not always good. When I watched the news on tv, some people experinced flash floods, boats being stranded in the sea and crops destroyed by overflowed irrigation. Well, it's just while some people enjoy the rainy days, some people are victims of it. What do you think?

Well, I think we have to say goodbye to summer heat. I hate rainy days. My broadband connection is poor whenever it rains. Seriously speaking, I love it when it rains, it becomes much colder here in where I am staying. What I hate about it is when it turns to a storm. I can't believe it, 2 storms on a summer day? I really pity those who become victims of this storms, victims of flashfloods, etc.

Actually, even when it's not raining, my signal is poor but when it rains it really gets poorer. I have no choice but to stick to my current broadband (Smartbro) coz it's the only broadband available here in my place. My connection often gets disconnected when it rains coz my house is surrounded by trees, sort of a farm, and my house is really far from the site, that's why.

I am one of those people that enjoy the rain. I love the rain and I like to just read and do work and stuff when it rains. When It rains It makes me feel really good. Yeah I know when I watch the news I get so sad because so many people suffer because of the rain.

I think that the rainy season came too soon. We were supposed to have another round of team building activity, but we are having second thoughts now because the sea might be too rough already. Anyway, since it will bring cooler temperature, that will definitely bring down electricity costs. I just hope that our fellowmen in other parts of the country won't have much trouble with the rain. Expect some flash floods in urban areas.

Electric costs go down when the temperature is cool? I didn't know that! Hehehe. Thanks for the info. I noticed that your username is kind of Filipino. Are you from Philippines too? Isn't it that there is an issue about MERALCO's electricity cost?

Yeah for one, there'd be less electric fans to be turned on right? Besides that, I read somewhere that when it's not that hot, refrigerators don't exert much effort in cooling, so again, lesser consumption of electricity. And one more thing, just like we do at home, airconditioners can run for a short period of time - could be turned off already in the wee hours of the morning when normal temperature outside is cold already.
btw, I'm proudly Filipina.

sigh...being here in manila during rainy season is a little off since, like what you said, the streets get flooded easily, in turn causing heavy traffic.

I know that I should already be accustomed to the rainy season but after a good summer it really brings down my spirit to see the rains starting to come in. After a few months I'll start forgetting what summer was like.

I love the peace in rainy days. It's really enjoyable Sitting beside the window, reading a nice book over a cup of tea, with «Rhythm of the rain»on.
On the other hand, when I have a lot of things to deal with, the rain gets in my way like a stumbling block. So I tend to get impatient.
Rain can give you a bad mood as well as a merry one.We have to adjust ourelves and keep cheerful.
Smilarly, rain can bring you a good harvest as well as flood. What we can do is master the rules of nature ,and make best use of it.

I surely agree with you, there's always 2 face on it. Farmers who rely only in rain waters as source of irrigation would really like the rainy season and also us who have already experienced the hot weather that the summer brings. According to news we are going to experienced a lot of typhoon in the coming months. Let us just hope that this typhoon will not bring great disaster and trouble to a lot of Filipino people.

I too appreciate and welcome the wet season especially when I am home. It relaxes my mind and the feeling that cold breeze is such a welcome after a seemingly long hot summer days. Although when at work and it rains heavy its different feeling and anxiety strikes me down. The feeling that it would be hard to get public transportation and the heavy traffic are the first thing that comes in my mind. Plus the places were flood is frequent worries me even more if ever I could get home on time after work. But when I am home I am welcoming these kind of weather.

Oh Yes, it is now rainy season here in our country, Philippines. I kinda like it but the same time hate it.
I like it because the weather will be cool not hot... no more sweating and it is really the time for having a good time sleep...
I hate it because it keeps on raining which I can't do anything outside... also, I am gonna be stranded coz of heavy rains!

Oh, Philippines! I miss Philippines, my native land! I remember when I was young & innocent..lol.. I used to go out of the house when it's raining, playing in the rain with my childhood friends and even eating "camote" under the rain...it was the most memorable times during my childhood. When I worked in Manila, ten years back, my life changed...i love to stay inside the appartment when it rained. And spent the whole time reading or doing some cross-stitching.
The summer season is fast approaching here in the Netherlands which means time to enjoy the heat of the sun... :)
