I wonder why and how? Maybe because of the information people are spilling out? I am not really spilling so much info and pix there. But we can also evangelize through Friendster right?

What i didn't like in Friendster are the posers. All these people that says in their profile, "this is me, this is me...etc." I have churchmates that showoff all their emo stuff and emoness in Friendster but their Christianity is hidden. I think Friendster did promote this "love for thy self" fad. What do you think?

Yeah, right. And the playing card is the devil's toy. What friendster has got to do with satan?
Just like everything made by man, it's how you use it that makes it good or bad. There're a lot of fellow Christians who use friendster to spread God's words & love.
But if friendster really is satan's work(which I strongly believe is not), then if Christians stop using it, wouldn't evil grow within it?

-- On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It's not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners." (Mark 2:17) --
Good Christian sites usually have 'healthy' Christians as members. They are already 'called', so to speak. So, it should be through other sites that we spread the love of God, because this is where all the faithless and confused reside. In other words - the 'sick'. They need God's grace more than us who has already accepted Him. So, we're not doing much good if we only stick to good Christian sites.

Ummm, that didn't explain why it is called the underground work of Satan. I think you'd better explain first about what you said before asking people to move to another site without any explanations. It would seem like you are promoting this site to people and making false accusations with the other site just to make them move.
And FYI, I already have a multiply account.

Actually, this is the first time I heard of this. If it's the case, I would say, that it's up to you on how to handle this situation at friendster. I do have a friendster account but I don't see anything wrong going on there. I was active before but now I seldom open it anymore, for I am busy with my other sites. About the christians, well, I do have friends there that are christians, they're friends from my old church.

i don't usually believe in those things. especially those issues that don't have very strong evidences. Those that are just circulated around the internet, I don't really believe.. There are a lot of hoaxes on the internet so I find it hard to believe in those things... i just hope it's not true, though. But if I find evidence for it, I might not use the site anymore

Really! from whom did you hear this thing? I don't think it is, it depends on you how to run your profile and how you handle everything in friendster. In besides you can use friendster to preach the word of GOD or you can use it to promote GOD am I right? and there is no restriction about it.

LOL, I guess friendster is harmless. Do you know that Harry Potter is also a dangerous book for Christians to read? And what about "Conversations with God"? Christians are asked run away from that book. ;) Now what Christians ought to read is Mary Baxter's revelation of hell, which is available free on the Internet. It provides you an insight into hell with all its fire and worms. Not as mild as Harry Potter or as inspiring as CWG, but definitely the stuff that Christians will love.
Cheer and happy mylotting.

wow, this is the first time I hear about this. I rarely open my friendster account, so I don't have the idea. the only reason I signed up for my friendster account back then was because that's the only way I could keep in touch with my old school friends, as they have been scattered all around the country and this world.
well, if we should anticipate it then don't post our photos and private details inside our profile. that's the only thing we can do, if the claim really told us the truth. * shrug *

what if i tell you that internet is the underground work of satan would you believe, i think many will believe but mostly they don't believe about my perception. it's up to you how you handle yourself being connected with those sites. i also believe that internet might be the underground work of satan if you used it in satanic way. if you are convincing people to stop using friendster much better if you convince them stop using internet.

I don't think so.:( I didn't noticed anything bad on friendster that said to be underground of satan. Maybe some people just wanted to bluff christians.. That's just a site you know?

Hi there Jing!
I think that it depends upon how you use it, just like how it is with all other things.
