It has been said that necessity is the mother of invention. I think that improvising is a form of invention, at least in some cases anyway. I am sure that at some point we all improvise in some way. There have been times when I would be fishing and wanted an extra fishing pole, so I would use a limber limb from a nearby tree. I also improvise by using the bag I get groceries in as trash bags in the bathroom or automobile. So tell me, what are some of the ways that you have improvised on things?

Too me this is a hard question because, I am sure that everyday EVERYone improvises, even if they don't realize. And the smallest of improvises are the best. Wish i could think of some.

Off hand I can't think of any but I know what you mean...well actually this morning I was going to play musical chairs with my granddaughter and didn't want to bring down the cd player from my studio so I got a musical Mother's day card and you open the card and it just plays for a few seconds and that was just about right. She didn't know when it was going to stop...all she knew is she loved playing the game! LOL

I have used a trash bag to cover myself from the rain several times when I did not have umbrellas/ raincoats.
I have torn sheets to use when I could not get my hand on bandages. I have had to improvise on several occasions. When you are in the nursing arena sometimes you do have to improvise quite a bit.
