I look at that members action as their loss not yours.
I would not do that myself. I have a lot of friends
here that do not write very good english. But well
enough that I understand and can respond to them.
Don't let it bother you at all. Their loss friend.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I think the people that use this site to learn the English language are great. I think it's a great idea to be able to use a forum like this to help them learn how to speak like a native speaker.
As far as banning them from the site, that will never happen, there are way to many international users on here for mylot to lose that kind of business, but I don't even think it should be considered an option. Until everyone's spelling on this site(including mine) is perfect, I don't think we have any right to challenge someone else's ability to speak English, especially when it is their 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th language.

hey take it as a challenge you know what we are not native speakers of english hence there is nothing wrong in speaking the language in the way we know
but i can tell you one thing if you think that you are at a satisfactory point at speaking english then you have to change your opinion
you are just 16 years old i have been observing your posts there are getting good responses which shows that you have got talent so use you talent to learn good english
no one is born with a silver spoon
if you want some tips to improve your language skill just add comment to this discussion i will tell you the way in which i have learnt it.

one thing to start with is try to read the news paper aloud and try to understand what you are reading just contribute 20 to 30 min a day and you can see the improvement in just 30 days its one thing by which i got fluency in the language
and dont let lack of interest while reading
try not to use dictionary that often try to understand sentences by yourself if it is much difficult go for a dictionary which you can get online i guess
well you are not just a kid at 16 you are a student and the duty of a student is to learn thats what you have to do
all the best....

i dont think that anybody need to delete users depending on their skin colour, wealth or nationality...!
if somebody have poor english he/she can learn english faster when reading or writing in english with others users!

It's just like I've always told my kids - a person like that isn't worth having for a friend - the same holds true here.
Don't become defensive, just use your experience here to learn better English - learning other languages can always be helpful, especially in employment.

for me it is not the grounds that i will delete a friend from my list. i am not good in English also, so i am not favor to delete poor English speaking people. Maybe at first it is difficult to express thoughts in other language like English but later on while you are active here you will be develop. Be positive and focus. Post a minimum of 4-5 sentences so that it will be count. I observed some people specially those who are not from speaking english countries post only 1-2 sentences on their post, i understand maybe they are running out of words but they have huge idea in their minds and the problem is how they can express it in English, i experience this before when i was new here. I know you can do also. keep it up and learn.

nobody's perfect. no one has the right to judge you based on how good your english skills are. If people understands you, then it's ok.

He may only be here to make money and deletes people that don't help him earn.
You should make an effort to reply to your friends' discussions, though. I know it is hard when you don't understand the language very well but the more you write, the easier it will be to speak and understand.
What language do you speak?

No, I do not think that it would be a very nice reason to delete someone, just because their English is not up to scratch, not all of us have perfect English, myself included!!
Are you sure that he deleted you because of your English though, if he did not tell you it was because of that then it might have been something else.

dex I wouldnt worry about it, if someone cant be bothered to chat with you because English isn't you native language then thats their problem! Dosen't it say somewhere in mylot Do's and Dont's not to discriminate against people with poor English??? It has to be said most Americans have difficulty with the English language!! Its an international site and for that reason people should be more understanding.
From an Englishmans point of view

That's very sad....because if English isn't your first language, it's understandable that you may not yet be fully conversant with the spelling and grammar rules - English isn't an easy language to learn, and I think you are doing very well.
