Do you ignore pain?

Sometimes when I'm really busy, I get the worst headaches. Now, the smart thing would be to stop working and get a Tylenol or close my eyes for awhile. That usually makes the headache (eye strain) go away. But, instead, I persist and keep working on the computer. And, that just makes the pain worse. Headaches are super hard to ignore and I've learned that it's just easier to deal with one before it gets worse. Do you ignore pain? Or, do you see pain as a sign that you should slow down and stop leading such a stressful life?

I sometimes try to ignore pain. By coming on the computer it helps me forget my pain. I recently had surgery and the computer does help.

I know what you mean. The computer helped me through a very painful postpartume surgery. The C-section was a nightmare to heal from. Thanks for dropping by.

At first I try to inore it or go and take something to help it. i usally take a over the counter headace pill at first. if it keeps on hurting then I will take a migrane pill. I am on Maxalt and so far that seems to work the best for me.

There are times that I do ignore pain. But if it is really unbearable, I have to do something about it. What I really can't stand is toothache! Well, at times, I see pain as a sign for me to slow down. But there are things that I can't just leave undone...

Yeah I ignore pain most of the time. When I get headache like that I ignore it so that I can finish whatever I am doing but then I would stop and just rest for a while but then I would go back to what I was doing so I could get the job done. Besides headaches there are other pains that I ignore too and I just don't let them get the best of me. I may seem stubborn but I like to get things done and I don't like it when I have to stop.

Pain is often a sign that there is something wrong, therefore, it should not be ignored. If you feel any pain that is persistent and lingering, please go to the doctor. Remember, stress is a predisposing factor for a number of serious medical conditions like cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Please take it easy. And by the way, Tylenol is bad for the liver if you take it too often. Take care. ;)

i am a person who tend to ignore pain as well until it gets really worst and i have to be hospitalised about two and a half months ago... i don't like to go to doctor or take medicine unless if it is really really necesarry... and usually it is already a bit too late... anyway, i learn my lesson and i try to take better care of my health now... take care and have a nice day...

Depending on wat kind of pain and where the pain is.. If it's related to health matters, i will definitely stop and rest a while, such as eye stain.. BUt if it's just normal cuts or so, i will just let it be and ignore, let it heal on its own.. LOL ANd if i do experience pain on my muscles during runs, i will ignore it too, so as to build up my endurance level.. haha

I think if you just ignore the pain and get on with your work the pain eventually subsides. But if it gets worse you have to take some medicines. I normally ignore pain and avoid taking too many medications.

I never ignore pain as my headaches are just too painful, also if you don't deal with them when they start they get worse and no amount of painkillers can shift them. I agree that pain can be a sign of being stressed and I listen to my body and do slow down a bit. In fact I had a really bad migraine on Saturday, which I'm sure was to do with the stress that had been building up.

I think a bad headache is the most difficult pain to ignore. I have tried to use my computer with a bad headache but I was unable to do it for long. Any other pain I can put up with. I was once stung by a wasp at work. I was talking to a customer at the time and just kept talking so the customer was never aware of what happened.

sometimes i ignore pain when i'm busy..then it becomes a habit ignoring pain from and then i got this sick..i got operated and then i've learned my lesson that even i little pain you must not ignore it..because even if its a little pain or more pain you have to figure it out why there is aching and there is something happening why there is pain
