For those of you who lived in Asia and mostly South East Asia, this called of service "Rantangan" probably well known and famous. Many people used this service in jakarta and Indonesia. You pay one month fee for people to delivery food for you each day. Six day a week. Minus a big holiday like Christmas etc. Usually they had 4 -5 food in the "Rantang" where they put the food and delivery to your house once daily. They cooked veggies, meat or seafood, though more veggies than the rest. But the price is very very cheap. At least for me who cannot cook. I pay 65$ a month to this service. i got 4 food and 1 soup each day except for Sunday and big holiday. This can be quite a business cause I know a friend who started this busines with 1 assitant and now have over 20 assistant to help her cook. How about you? had you try this service yet? Or you just heard this kind of service for the first time?

We have groceries that deliver orders but I think you're talking about cooked food? In America we have more and more businesses opening that cook meals for you but they don't deliver more than once a week and you put the meals in your freezer so you can warm them up later in the microwave or oven. It's VERY expensive, about $5-10 per meal! But a lot of working people use these services so that they can have well-balanced meals quickly without going out to fast-food restaurants that are so bad for the health.

We have home delivery available for seniors where the meal is cooked then brouight to the seniors home and sometimes they delivery person is requested to visit as well. I can't recall the name of it but I think it's something like Home meals for the elderly or something along those lines. usually about $4 a meal. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That's awfully expensive for a senior citizen! We have meals on wheels and such here. Don't know how much it is, though.

Yes, I am talking about cooked food delivered to your house every day except Sunday and big holiday. Before forget, this is how "Rantang" look like. They put the food inside it and delivered them to you. I forgot to put the pic in my topic up there.

In my area we have a lot of different companies that will deliver groceries to our door. We used Schwanns for a couple yeras as they have some great products that only the carry. it was costly but well worth it. Now we prefer to buy in bulk as the cost of food has skyrocketed as of late. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Thats why I used this Rantang food delivery service. Cause the food delivery service buy in big bulk with lost of customers. they charge us pretty decent price. The food is okay. Sometimes good like with meat and egg. At end of the month, usually I got mostly veggies. But I can understand that.

How different with here. in here food delivery had some major potential in it. Lots of people did this food delivery service. Not only for people who cannot come out but for all people who just too busy too cook or who wanted to cut their meals budget.

im from the Philippines and yes we have that here. some employees opt this service. they just stay in the office and wait for their lunches to be delivered. but only lunches are served. still they pay by the month, and after the month of service, so the caterer, as this business is known here, should have the capital to pay for the meals but will have their money back with gains after a month.:) i'd like to do this too but very labor expensive. and you must have a large sum of money for capital.
