I am currently reading two different books. LOL One is out front, and the other is out back, so where ever the shade is, I go read in that book. LOL I think I'm probably crazy, but I adore to read, it is like my escape. :O) So, do you only read one book at a time, or do you read multiple books?

Multiple. I am reading 3 non-fiction books right now, and recently finished a fiction book, plus usually have a magazine going at the same time.

In the general speaking,I read one book at one time. I think it is good for me to learn the knowledge well . Also I like reading one book in time. If I have enough time, I like reading very much. So if you have some good books to tell me,I think read them. Also now, I like reading something about social. As a student,I find myself have so little knowledge about the world.

I've always loved to read and at times have had 2-3 at the same time. I love all kinds so it's not hard for me to find something to read...I just go through them quickly. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Hi, quiltedblessings, For me, I don't like to read books. But I'll read those books that people recommend me to read or it's popular. So, normally, I'll read one book at a time.

I used to read 2 different books at a time but I noticed how I would get a bit tangled between the two with the plots, so I must say I find sticking with one book at a time to work better for me!

I tend to read more than one book at a time - particularly if they are non-fiction books. At the moment I actually have three different fiction books that I am reading. My main trouble is finding the time to read, so I have books strategically placed so that when I have some time to catch up on the book, it is there where I will be able to read some of it.

I only read one book at a time. When I was in school I had to read more than one book at a time if there was something that I wanted to read for pleasure, but had something different that I neded to read for school.

I don't like reading more than one book at a time. It always makes me lose my place or forget where I was in one story. That and I have a tendency to mess up story lines. Plus, I like immersing myself in a story all at once. It makes the story so much better that way.

I usually read two books at a time. Usually a fiction and a non-fiction. Right now I am actually reading 3. I am reading the making of the Wizard of Oz, I keep that in my van. For bedtime I am reading T is for Trespass by Sue Grafton and I have just started reading Valerie Bertinelli's book.

I'm currently reading two books. I keep one in the car to read at work at lunchtime. I keep the other one at bedside for night reading. Two is generally what I normally read at one time. Sometimes I'll start one and put it aside if I get a little bored with it. If I run out of library books before I can get back tot he library, I may finish that books then. Maybe that qualifies as having three books going?

I only read one book at a time. I think I would start to get confused in the story lines if I started to read more than 1 book at a time.

Well...nonfiction books...I often have several going at any given time. But, fiction- just one at a time. If it doesn't pull me in by chapter three, I don't even finish it. If it captures me- I read it in about a day (read one today actually)...so there just isn't time to have more than one going...lol.

At any given time, I am reading at least two books. Right now I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series, I'm on the fifth, and, also re-reading The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. It's funny, but sometimes I take a long bath just so I can read in the tub... at that point, I've usually got a third book I'm reading. I keep a book withing reach wherever I happen to be!

I usually read two: One I keep in my purse and whip it out if I'm waiting for something to happen and I'm bored. The other I keep in my room and read before I do to bed.

This is an interesting discussion and well I prefer to take up one at a time. I just dislike to read different books at the same time.

haha! well, i usually only read one, but i have read multiple books at a time. The most, at one point, was 4 books! i was actually going kinda insane. i had to read one for English class, i was reading one on my own, then my friend had a book they just finished so i started that, and one day i left both my books at home so i pick one off the teachers library. I actually did finish all them and surprisingly, i wasn't all that confused. At the beginning, ill admit, i was going a bit crazy trying to remember what character was from what bok (oh yeah, two characters from two book had the same NAME!!! XD)but as i got into the stories, i had no trouble. it was fun =p

I don't read so much anymore so it's usually only one at a time now. But back in my day (growing up) I read ALL the time and was usually reading several things at once. But never had problems keeping track. But I was lucky that way, I'd read books during classes, but was still able to read the material for school and comprehend what the teacher was discussing too.
