I don't know about the rest of you mylotters but I've been following the season of American Idol and throughout the whole thing I've been rooting for David A. to be booted off the show but it never happened and now he's in the top TWO!! ANd for some reason, David Cook didn't step up his final performance so I've got a feeling that the little skinny kid might win!! Tell me your opinion of the two contestants and who you would prefer to win!!

Well, it is just going on 8 p.m. here for us in Washington state, so I cannot make a judgement yet on who I feel was the best, but I have always been rooting for David Archuletta over Cook, but for me, it is a matter of what type of music they both sing as to what I prefer. But he was not my #1 favorite to start, but for me, I agree with others who have said that he will fair better if he wins han Cook would, and David Cook will do good enough on his own.

You'll have to get back to us with your opinion on the show when you've seen it! So, who did you prefer when you started watching the show?? I actually like the type of music that they both sing, I just like the throaty way that David Cook sings better I think. He presents each song differently and I like his style.

Well, I've been a David A fan ever since he started the season. He's a very good singer. Although his father is too much of a stage father. But if AI wants to really sell records David C should win.

Why do you say that??

Well, its primarily because of the market considerations. The music market today sell more of his kind of music rather than ballads. We've heard David A did a Chris Brown song he didn't just pulled it off. Although I'm a David A fan, for sure David C's album could sell more, given of his previous album that came out way before he joined Idol but it flopped. And since, he's an Idol contestant he got this publicity for his benefit that would give him sales...and AI too.

I don't care for Archie either. I voted for DC last night...many times! I doubt it will make a difference though but at least I did my part. Usually Simon seems to have influence over the votes and he was praising DA all night, like he could do no wrong. Did he forget that he forgot his lyrics the first song he sang? DC has far better stage appearance and will be successful no matter what. I would just like to see a rocker win for once. I'm tired of all these pop wannabes getting crowned as the AI. It's time for a change!

I absolutely adore both of them! I do prefer David Cook's raspy voice a little more, but I was, and still am, hoping David Archuleta will win. Why? Because I think David Cook will do just fine on his own. I think David Archuleta will fare better with the Idol contract and people behind him who know what they're doing. (His dad seems to create a little mischief here and there). He has been performing for a very long time and he deserves to be right where he is. He has some maturing to do, sure, but these two were leaps and bounds above all of the others (even my favorites) as far as pure talent and ability. For me, it was Seyesha who I couldn't wait to see go home. Didn't care much for her from day one. I was so glad she didn't beat one of these two out by some fluke.

I have to admit that I do believe that David Cook will end up with a recording contract by the end of the show either way. He has done beautifully and I don't think this will be the end of him. I don't know what it is about David A. but he just seems to rub me the wrong way I guess. I do believe that David A.'s record producers are going to have to make his dad take a step back because he is too involved and tries to control everything, whether it ends up being in his sons best interest or not.

Thanks for the best response! To be honest, anyone who makes it into the top 10 will likely go on to something in the music industry. I saw a "where are the now" type special last summer sometime about several of the top tens from past seasons. Only a couple of them weren't doing SOMETHING...that doesn't mean they're all putting out CDs, making #1 hits, or have their names up in lights, but they're all in the industry doing one thing or another.

i want David A to win, but everybody have their own opinion, i don't know why you don't like him, but he's a great singer, specially last night he really show it. Its not that i have a problem with David C but i'm rooting for little David A

I had been rooting for David Cook and voting for him. I like David A but that was about all until last night. David A stole the show, was in top form and song choices were great and deserved to win. Right up to the last minute Simon forcasted that David Cook would win but it was obvious that David just blew Simon's predictiction (and Simon) out of the water.

Why do you not like him, I think he has so much talent and I remember from the start they said he was the one to win this year. I have not gotten to watch it here lately, but I figured he would be the winner, I didn't think much of this years bunch of people think they have had better shows.

Ohhh boooo, hissss, picking on that adorable David A! Hahaha. I have to admit I've liked him from the start. My husband is convinced Disney should offer him a contract either in their musicals or somewhere in their conglomerate. I just want to pinch his cheek! I like David Cook too though. As far as marketability, he will get a good contract. The teen/young adult market with all that money to spend on CDs will go for him. Heck, all these finalists are going to do well. I can see Syesha on Broadway.

I didn't like David A also, but not until his final performance. I just watched the re-run tonight and I don't think David Cook did his best. I also have this feeling that David A might win. It's okay for me though. :) Cheers!

i was rooting for brooke for a while, then she really started to mess up.IMO. i, also, have something against "archie", as ryan called him last night. don't know what, but something. the mrs. and i have wanted him off since he got away with forgetting his words way back. but, i do think he out sang david cook last night. david c. was good, but it was all just as expected. no surprises, nothing blew me away. archie actually rocked during "don't let the sun go down on me", and "imagine" is one of my faves anyway, but it was lovely. so, the night went to archeletta, but cook is "The Next American Idol". IMO. ;)

To be honest, I haven't seen most of the competition - I have only watched the auditions up to the early rounds of the final 12 (or whatever you call it).. Anyway, it is said to be that David A. is the one most likely to win especially now that Simon have voted his performance as "knockout"...also, there are (I think) most voters for David A. than David C...o.o personally, I think they are both great! :)

You're right, David Cook could have done better with his selections. It would have helped him with the votes if he repeated one of his best performances for the season like "always be my baby" or "billy jean." Yes, David A. actually might win!
