Yes I have read too many self-help books in my life to list. They have been an enormous boon to me and have really assisted me in sorting out many problems I had from the past. I'm not reading one right at the moment, and sorry I haven't yet come across "The Secret". What aspect of self-help does it come under?

If you know you heve benefitted from self help books I strongly recommend The Secret By Rhonda Byrne. This book teaches you how to use the secret in every aspect of your life-money, health, relationships, happiness and in every interaction you have with the world. You will begin to understand the untapped power you have within you. There are stories of eradicating diseases acquiring massive wealth, overcoming obstacles and achieving what many would regard as impossible.i hope you benefit from reading this book as I have done. You surely will. All the best to you. When I gain something I love to share it with others.

Hi,
I have learnt to knit lace Crochet using a self help Book.
Likewise I have learnt other languages too using the learn in thrity days any language books.
Some are useful. I have used and found them to be pretty useful also. You have to spend sometime to understand what is said and then act accordingly. If you do not have the patience or the knack of understanding what they then you cannot gain any help from those books.
Slowly andsteadily you have to learn line by line, only then it'll help. As you say motivation is another point. You have to motivate yourself for that because there will not be any teacher to help with that.

I've actually just recently read "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and It's all Small Stuff" by Richard Calrson. It's actually a really cool book. I never thought that I would get much out of anything like that, but I was wrong. He talks about all the easy things in life that we can do to make it easier. How to not stress out and how to feel better about yourself because of it. It's a quick read and totally worth it.
