It's true I have a cluttered desk and a cluttered mind. I would rather have it that way than have an empty mind! My desk is only cluttered with pieces of paper, notebooks, diary, pens and envelopes. My mind is full of all sorts of things.

I like to tidy and clean the desk every day when I come on duty. I think a neat desk will be convenient for your job and may give you a nice feeling. But a disorderly desk will give a bad impression in others' mind, especially your boss!

Right now my desk is cluttered. When it gets really bad, I will straighten it out which will take all of about 5 min. I don't have drawers in my desk so most things sit on top next to the mousepad. My mind is cluttered at times but not all the time. I get more things done when the desk is cluttered because eventually I go through any papers and toss them or put them somewhere else and in order.

Hi Mahesh2008! My desk in the office is rather neat at the moment because it's a three week break for college students. That means I was able to clean up my desk and kept all the test papers and other working papers that I already have checked and rated. My desk at home is neat at times but cluttered most of the time.

I always have a cluttered desk. I don't know about getting more done. I do, however, have a cluttered mind, lol.

My clutter these days is cause I dont have much room. I have not over the years been much for clutter. I had a job once where every morning I came in to stuff piled on my desk from various departments. I had to work through all the mess, catalog, file, etc all the stuff. As I worked through the day the clutter got cleaned off the desk. I dont like a messy desk. Even if I have a lot of stuff on the desk I have to have it in some kind of organization. I have to know where anything is at all times so when I or someone needs something I can get it quickly and not spend time trying to find it.

Somewhere in between! My desk isn't super neat but there are piles of papers in a couple places. Every so often I go through everything on the desk-usually when I dust-and file stuff and make other, "urgent" piles that I get rid of faster than the others!

My desk is cluttered it is full of stuff that does not belong to me. My desk is in the living room so everything seems to get dumped on there. Espically letters from my children's schools and their pictures. I do tidy it up every so often but it doesn't stay tidy long.

I am definately a cluttered person, my desk is terribly cluttered. I go through stages where I will blitz it and totally clean it up but within a few days it is back to being cluttered. I am like it in other areas of the house too, everything just seems to get cluttered and although I hate it, I just cannot seem to get rid of it.

My desk is a bit of both. People tend to dump things on my desk a lot and as I don't have to do any writing at it, it does tend to get cluttered and messy. I do have a big tidy up on it at least once a week, but it soon gets untidy. I think it is because I also do have stuff on my desk that I don't use very often and I really should sort thnigs out and make new homes for these thnigs. I have read that a cluttered desk is a cluttered mind, my mind does have loads of things going around in it, but I don't think they are in a cluttered form. Is your desk cluttered? I do spend a lot of time thinking I must sort my desk out, it sits in the sitting room and people have to walk by it so it is easy to dump things on it. If the children have drwan me a picture etc I say put it on mummy's desk etc!! Hence it gets full quickly
