I have been having a problem with my aol email account so I have been using my gmail lately and avoiding looking at my aol. But that is a bad thing becuase all of my emails regarding mylot are on there and so are alot of other emails that I have to get on a daily basis. But the problem was that I would log in and it would send me to aim mail which I don't have I have aol and when it sends me to aim mail it refuses to delete mail for me and tell that there has been some type of error so I avoided it for about 3 days and today I get on to see if it's working and guess what it is and it said I have 1600 emails. LOL!! can you believe that . So I have been spending the morning cleaning it out and responding to the discussion that I have started and trying to stay on top of things. LOL!!
So has your email ever acted up?
Have you ever logged in and have your email tell you that you have over 1000 emails?
if so what did you do?
Were you flustered about it?

update yer aol to the 9.1 version and the annoying little craps of errors should decrease. aol has a habit of making (i think purposefully) the older versions not work anymore so people have to upgrade to the newer versions. and gimme yer aol name dammit cause im on aol too and i wanna add you to my buddies list LOL

I was having major problems with my Aol email when they went through some switch from aol to aim. I don't know. I have had the same email since 2000 and it has always been aol not aim. I was having the same trouble loading messages and all of that but it has been a month or two since that. Lately I haven't had any AOL issues.

sorry about the time frame that I took to get back to everyone on that. It took me about 2 weeks to get my aol back and undercontrol.

No but I am getting over 500 each day and I cannot keep up with them, I just do not have that much time to go through 500 emails. How it got to this I do not know but it is never ending!!
I just keep tackling them when I can and just do the best I can, but I go on me hols on Saturday and so whatever is left in it tomorrow I am just going to have to delete before I go away. I only dread to think how many I am going to come home too after a week away!!

Hehehe...I almost always have that many emails. lol. Most of which I will never even read...ha...right now in my inbox there are 1451 and 653 of them are unread- that does not include any subfolders. I cleaned those out the other day though. And it's not even the email account I use for myLot or the gpt sites and inevitable spam that results. The biggest reason I have that many is I just don't delete things very often...but I still see the number every day showing over 1000.
As far as if I have been in a similar situation as you...yeppers...I have been in email groups that put out a huge volume of mail and if I would be sick or something and not on the computer much I would come back to literally hundreds of emails from them. I usually would start to go through them but would eventually just do a mass delete, because it is very overwhelming.

Yes. like every three days i have to clean out my mail. I have so much spam and junk that I think is my doing. go to a site, sign up and then decide to unsubscribe. Though some of my mail in the spam folder is not spam and you must look closely.
You can open your AOL account through Internet explorer or what other browser you use. The only difference I notice, is when I delete in IE, it doesn't take effect in AOL, and vice versa.
I have created folders and would slide the mail into them, to help reduce the blogs of emails I get.
Hope that helps.
